Photos - Cybertruck goes home to a farm ranch and shares garage with classic cars

Wow! I've been waiting for a farmer to buy a CT. Let us know how it fits into farm life for you. I live on a small hobby farm and am greatly interested in your experience. Especially towing a trailer over soft ground to pick up a load of hay. Sometimes, the ground is muddy at the farm where I...

Do you plan to remove your side mirrors?

Keeping the side mirrors. My F-150 rear camera lens gets crapped up on every trip this time of year in Maine. It's either mud or salt-covered. And I forget to clean it at stops while on trips and end up having to use the mirrors to back my truck into parking spots. So unless the CT can make up...

Give up off-road capability to increase highway range.

Kyle also mentioned that the CT was much heavier, adding more flex load on the sidewalls, and had to support speeds of 112 mph. I'm not sure how regular AT tires would hold up both in performance and wear. The stock tires may be the best compromise already.

Magnetic Confirmed: Stainless Steel on Cybertruck is MAGNETIC 🧲

The austenitic SS is cold rolled (work hardened) to create martensitic steel, which can have magnetic properties. So that might explain the magnet sticking.

    Leaked interior Cybertruck photo!

I too, was tired of throwing good money after bad and bought an F-150 last year. I bought a low trim with a few extras figuring that I'd sell it when my turn came for a CT. But I actually love my truck. At least I have time to wait for the CT reveal and perhaps a test drive before I have to make...

Cybertruck spotted at Tesla booth at Michigan Formula SAE competition

I bought a magnetic pad with a pole to clean my windshield. They use washable microfiber cloths. Warning! Very pricy. I had bought mine years ago on Kickstarter or something similar for less. But it does work well! https://windshieldwow.com/collections/frontpage

How the latest Cybertruck doors open (videos)

It's not so much a gimmick but Elon's ethos that a car should have fewer controls, such as a shift control. The car should know which direction you need to go and shift automatically. I read somewhere that the CT might have face recognition to unlock the door for you. As long as it works, I'm...

UPDATE! Try as I might, I cannot find a patent for a regen wiper. But the Electric Viking talks about it here.

KING KONG cybertruck wiper not very futuristic...here is how to produce the look this trucks deserves...

I'm wondering if the rumor is that the wiper is made by Berg Regen, an aftermarket parts company. Otherwise, the rumor makes no sense to me.

    Rear Wheel Steering

I'm wondering if the CT is capable of doing the "K" turn as recently announced by Rivian in their patent. If so, can Rivian really patent it? https://jalopnik.com/the-new-rivian-ev-could-get-a-neat-k-turn-pivoting-tric-1847247553

    Rear Wheel Steering

The yoke steering will benefit from 4 wheel steering. For the same front-wheel steering angle input, the CT will turn quicker with the addition of opposite rear steering inputs. This makes wrestling the yoke less of a chore. I used to drive military tugs with selectable 4-wheel steering to tow...

New Aux Battery for upgraded Model S and X confirms Musk

Sandy Munro just completed an interview with Elon at SpaceX Boca Chica. One of the interesting things that came out is that the new upgraded model S and X will have lithium-ion batteries. The goal was to have the aux battery last as long as the main pack. Awesome! This will probably make it into...

1.4 MILLION Reservations for the Cybertruck, and Counting!!!

ON Battery Day, Elon said that the Semi and CyberTruck would be getting the new 4680 cells. He used no qualifiers. Because of the new cell's structural nature and how it is integrated with the C/T, it would be difficult to use an older, non-structural cell in other varients. I would expect to...

Tesla 4680 battery cells to be produced by Panasonic starting 2021: report

My take. Yep! On battery day, Elon said it would be in the Cybertruck and Semi. He did not qualify his statement so I am taking him at his word. Not to mention that he has time as the Roadrunner facility is in early production, Giga NV is going to make the as well as Giga Berlin.
