Why would your door be open? you could control it from the phone after you realize that it didn’t close. you could even set a notification to tell you the door is open after a certain amount of time.
This is slippery surface weather. And the OEM Goodyear AT tires to me are not great in the snow. Plows to easily and don’t like to bite while sliding sideways
(on purpose). Nokians are on the way.
It is automated, turning it on takes the delay out of the front engaging, which can be useful on slippery surfaces where you don't want to wait to TC to do it's thing. Think of pulling out of a parking lot onto a busy main road where a momentary delay could cause issues.
Think of it like a ice pick up truck you could either have it in auto four-wheel-drive which will engage when needed or lock it into four-wheel-drive with a slippery surface setting. Now there are other changes that go along with the slippery surface setting, but that’s how it seems to function...
Yep. Exactly what I have experienced.
Engage the rear differential lock also and you have a paved road 4x4 setting. Just don’t lock that rear differential unless it’s really slippery.
I use it often especially this time of year in my area. A snowy parking lot makes it very obvious that it is engaged. Seems to me it keeps the front motor always on, like putting my old Chevy into 4WD. And the truck overall is just more alert.
Truck looks great.
I just asked @CYBERTRUCKco about making a flat piece to fill in that area of the rear bumper. They have no plans so we should all ask them.
The amount of research ( both time and money) that goes into an OEM wheel/ tire setup is not an afterthought. Those OEM Goodyear AT tires were specifically designed for the CT and it shows.
