  1. First Cybertruck Front Castings Spotted at Giga Texas!

guys please... a Friendly suggestion.. if your post is designed to respond only to someone else in a derogatory way and doesn't move the subject of the thread.. back it up and delete it please. I would love to see this place remain mostly friendly but it can ONLY do that if we concentrate on...
  2. First Cybertruck Front Castings Spotted at Giga Texas!

Short answer it is tesla and they don't believe in design freeze dates.. they will continually improve this beast throughout it's lifetime. they also won't show off any final versions till the delivery event i don't expect as i recall their history has them showing the "Final" version AT the...
  3. Elon Musk: Cybertruck option packages & [aftermarket] third-party add-ons will be 🔥🔥

I think you are correct.. and now that i see that i have to wonder if there is some kind of a power feed in the center.. so that what you connect <say a Pillar mounted spot, or a light bar> has an available power source ?? just blue skying but interesting thoughts!!!
  4. John from Cleanerwatt - "The initial pricing of the CyberTruck will be $90,000 - $120,000"

the thing I don't get is how ANYONE can be disappointed at this time by anything other than 1> it being reduced in size by 10% 2> it needing a windshield wiper 3> it having side view mirrors. These are the ONLY confirmed changes to the car. everything else from price to range to...
  5. Tow hitch hook on Cybertruck -- closeup look without cover

ideally rear mount would just mount in the hitch mount.. instead of a ball slide in the winch .. in the front perhaps a mount that screws into a covered port like the tow hook part on a model Y.
  6. John from Cleanerwatt - "The initial pricing of the CyberTruck will be $90,000 - $120,000"

as i recall from reading the article.. in order to make a splash he is using HIS esitmated price of a quad motor including 25k for full FSD
  7. What price point will you cancel your order?

i wouldn't assume when Elon is hesitant about demand it is about the PRICE.. he has mentioned macro economic situation in EVERY public talk for the last year... i think he is worried about interest rates... lets look at inital costs the tri-motor was 60k or so originally at 1.9% your payment...
  8. John from Cleanerwatt - "The initial pricing of the CyberTruck will be $90,000 - $120,000"

for me... any 0-60in less than 6 seconds is fine... 0-60 in under 4 is awesome anything past that i won't use anyway .. I don't take cars to the track... the reason I want the tri motor i strictly range.. I WANT 450-500 mile range to comfortably drive an entire day out and back.. or out and...
  9. Motortrend global president is thinking 80k

From the tesla cybertruck page.. and i know this could well be changed but it is what they have up there currently on the performance and efficience area.... "0-60 mph in as little as 2.9 seconds and up to 500 miles of range. "
  10. John from Cleanerwatt - "The initial pricing of the CyberTruck will be $90,000 - $120,000"

i think the quad was a knee jerk Elon reaction and it won't be in the initial release.. HOWEVER.. i can EASILY see a plaid/quad motor release once they catch up on back orders to just have sic performance numbers for those that don't care about spending over 100k!
  11. Vault Mounted solar panel system

but wouldn't it be more efficient and easier to just buy a camping solar array that has a 120 v outlet and use a mobility charger to plug your tesla in... that way the panels aren't restricted to where you can park the truck?
  12. Can't find original reservation email

just log into tesla.com and go to account.. your cybertruck will be on that page.. click on manage and your res number is right there.
  13. Motortrend global president is thinking 80k

unless i am mistaken the price used is the manufacturers suggested retail price.. so yeahh accessories don't affect it.
  14. John from Cleanerwatt - "The initial pricing of the CyberTruck will be $90,000 - $120,000"

original announced price for the model S was 60,000... when released it was sold for 57400... i can go on and look at more.. but overall tesla has tried HARD to stick close to the announced prices... i can easily see a 10-20% increase on the announced price for the CT based on macro economics...
  15. Elon: Cybertruck will have Autopilot HW4. Production still coming in Summer. Beta Cybertrucks coming next month. CT will be Musk's personal vehicle

as i understand it..giga shanghai started production in December of 2019.. in March of 2020 <4 months later> they hit 3k vehicles per week. Soooo assuming a delivery event end of third quarter.. and assuming they have to START production before that to HAVE a delivery event means they would be...
  16. John from Cleanerwatt - "The initial pricing of the CyberTruck will be $90,000 - $120,000"

i find all claims of final price to be hilarious; we don't know how many motors the original release will have, what type of wheels or tires.. not even the final car dimensions... NO ONE outside of Tesla knows the manpower and cost of running 9k gigapress for manufacturing or what the...
  17. Silverado 450 Miles of Range

interesting .. gm's home page for em carefully avoids saying how much the 400 mile range one will cost... they DO say they are anticipating a beginner model at like 39k with models going up to 80k + depending on range etc.
  18. Inconceivable!

elon can't tweet freely https://www.independent.co.uk/news/world/americas/elon-musk-tesla-tweets-court-b2339410.html Elon fined for tweeting he should take tesla private... https://www.bbc.com/news/business-64384278 so while yes I agree Elon has dual roles we can NOT say in all honesty his...
  19. Inconceivable!

Since Elon currently has to have tweets reviewed before they can be sent <a requirement of a federal agency> and he has had to pay money for his tweets... I don't think you are correct in saying the US government isn't preventing him from speaking freely
  20. Tesla Will be advertising! (to some extent)

i think the fact that sales are 40 percent higher in 2022 compared to 2021 is proof sales are NOT dropping the algorithmic INCREASE in sales has dropped, however we all knew it had to.. the drop in prices and referral program is proof that tesla has FINALLY increased price close to a point...
