...up a jersey mike sandwich for lunch and that is the payload and duty I normally use on the truck. Why dont you experience the truck, rent it on Turo and see how the vehicle fits your lifestyle? Its great to hear other people’s opinions about something, but its better to form your own opinion...
Interesting. I need to go test drive an AWD sometime. I rented a Beast on Turo before they offered demo drives then bought one.
I personally feel like the 0-60 is too much fun to give up, even if the AWD is smoother and quieter.
I was debating turo for the second and third CTs that got ordered when I didn't realize my first two clicks actually reserved a truck. But yes, there's s risk in others using it.
With Turos cut (can be up 40%), owner takes home $540. Prob needs to rent 5-6 times to cover payment and insurance.
what happens when it does get into an accident and delisted from Turo? Curious of part availability from Tesla for Cybertruck
The problem with EARLY cybertruck rentals, is a lot of Youtubers etc are going to want to rent them to "test them".
Look up "Turo car rental insurance" to see some of the many downsides
...for FS (RN1128XXXXX reservation number). Pretty surprised to see it this early.
I'm boarder line on ordering FS or holding out for standard.
I'd really looking to get a test drive before making my decision. Any options for me in Austin to get a test drive without spending $1000 on turo rental?
...Jan 9th I put a deposit down on a dual motor CT. I recieved an offer from Tesla for $36k trade in not even a month later. Will either sell the M3 personally or rent out on Turo.
How much could I rent the CT on Turo per day? $1000 per day ?? Rent it out twice a month and have it pay for itself?
I’m keeping my model Y and going to try Turoing that when my VIN is assigned. If I feel comfortable being a Turo host I might try the Cybertruck like once a month.
I’m already an airbnb host, so maybe it will be a similar experience.
...AWD 11/22/19 - RN112786752 with $100
Received configuration order and Configured Foundation Series 12/26/23 with additional $1000
VIN Received 2/25/2024
bitter sweet because i need to return either 2020 MX or 2023 MY and they both lost tremendous value.
Any ideas? Maybe keep and turo of them?
I would never even use a Supercharger if I lived on O'ahu, an Island that's about 30 miles wide x 40 miles long and has slow maximum speed limits. I don't think there is a road on the island above 60 mph. Plug in every night and you should be good to go. It never even gets cold there.
...is because I own a model S 2022 and going from Tampa to Miami I only charge once going there and 2 coming back home.. we decided to rent from Turo the CT.. had to charge twice going there and 3 times coming back! ? it is an amazing vehicle but wasted almost 2 hours charging :( .at 75-80 mph...
Hawaii is ridiculous when it comes to charging. They are supposedly putting more superchargers in at pearlridge and new ones in Kaneohe. Time will tell.
I'm waiting for my VIN on my 1/17 AWD order in AZ, after I had the rare opportunity to drive one around for a few, I fell more in love with it.
I'm wanting to document my Cybertruck experiences when I get it, wish I knew how to film and edit a fraction of what you do
I agree, I got to drive my buddy's cybertruck and it blew me away, this truck is amazing! The drive by wire steering is unreal! The turning, the handling, the acceleration, the sound system...it's the best of the best. I ended up ordering one...I'll wait 5 years if I have to, it's worth it.
