While I don't think they will come after you price fixing is illegal. Also, this is how an economy works, supply and demand.
Turo is a market. Why wouldn't someone undercut the next person to get more utilization of their rental?
1000 makes sense consider it’s a rental with huge liabilities. I’m in RI, probably 1 of maybe 6 (though I’ve only seen 2 orders including mine on the chart). I’d have to get with the Rhode Island guys which would be pretty easy in the smallest state if (very BIG if) I took the Turo route.
...to account for the high mileage of a "new" truck, provided it kept the luxe package goodies (mainly supercharging).
Honestly Tesla should have been doing this a long time ago as it seems to be a reasonable program and much cheaper than Turo or the big name rental companies.

...here! I’m at the 330,000 level so I have a little wait. I’m pretty sure I’ll see one before I get mine though. Once I see it my patience will probably start wearing a little thin although hopefully fsd may be ready to go. I plan on renting it out through Turo or hopefully from Tesla itself.
There are different ways to look at it. At less than $275/day it is well under the novelty Turo rate. The idea is to offer the exclusivity and first mover advantage to someone who can afford it and is interested in that.
Why not consider renting the MODEL Y out on TURO instead. You'll probably make more money and have tax deductions to consider. Just another avenue to find a win-win. ?
I am still awaiting delivery of my FS CT, but I rented one for a weekend on Turo and also took one from a service center for a demo drive. On both trips, I wirelessly charged both an Android and Apple phone.
The FS CT wireless chargers heat up phones more than they should or need to. I've been...
...matter how long far you go down the list the percentage will continue to dwindle. The days of renting the truck for 1000 or even 500 a day on Turo are gone and the tiktokers have already made all the videos there are to make.
Tesla looks desperate for cash offering the Foundation Series to...
Yeah it's definitely going to be weird having 0 way to test this car before purchase (without spending ridiculous money on turo). A few Ferraris and mclarens keep dropping in asking price the more I wait for the CT too which isn't helping ?
If anyone in the dfw area wants to take someone for a...
I'm not trying to start an argument with you about it, but your example is instructive. My pricing structure is not the Turo rate, but rather it is less than 1/3 of the Turo rate. If you looked at leasing your lake house at an annualized rate of $200 a night, that would be about $6,000 a month...
yep… if you don’t let your insurance know you are renting it or ride sharing it, it may cause problems getting it fixed in the event something happens. I know my insurance has a no-ride share and business use clause. Maybe Turo offers that kind of insurance?
Couple interesting things about the listing. There are no reviews and Turo usually lists the number of trips it has been booked for. There doesn't appear to be any. In the of the pictures you can see in the reflection someone is making socks in the passenger seat. Thought that was funny. Lastly...
Early on, when not as many CT's are in your area, I think it won't matter. As more and more are available, the beast may rent a bit better but I doubt enough to justify the price difference.
Also keep in mind, the chances of crashing it may be higher with the beast since people who...
Very nice. The sound in this clip reminds me of a video a few years back, where The Smoking Tire channel did some canyon runs with a Model 3 rented from Turo.

Thanks Gus, just seeing this Turo post just solidified me as a hard no. It’s one thing to consider doing it. Seeing that ad made my sphincter clinch. ?
