Absolutely. I was lucky enough to have a very high percentage of trips that were smooth sailing, but when the car came back with weed smell, it a lot of the time also came back with damage. I'd be vetting who I rent the truck out to VERY heavily.
My Cybertruck got impounded by a DUI driver from Turo over the weekend and when they put it in tow mode it disables all access from the app including location. That seems ludicrous to me. You should not be able to disable location at all.
I was able to spend a full week with cyber wheels (thanks, Turo people!) and now have a few months on my own with core wheels. A/Ts are definitely fine as far as ride smoothness and wind noise, but A/Ss are a noticeable difference. I’m not necessarily advocating for them as they’re less cool and...
There's a thread on here with someone who claims to have made 10K in six months through turo.
Their CT got crashed by a renter and they're dealing with that now.
There are a lot of Turo renters out there that want clicks. This truck is prefect off the factory floor as Elon intended it to be. It’s why we bought the best quality truck in America.
Guaranteed the SC will laugh at you and say “what did you do” or “this is within spec” because they are.
An owner in Jersey City, NJ already owns 5 Cybertrucks (which he has available on Turo) and already has 20 more ordered!

It's possible that nobody is betting big on Turo Cybertrucks like Dustin Liu, who operates a rental...
Ha, so glad they didn’t wreck your vehicle, having still rented the vehicle with known prior mechanical and electronic failures.
?
But glad you are on the road to repair.
I am curious about how you are able to even consider an insurance claim with renting the vehicle out personally? I have rented my CT on turo a handful of times and always get asked, " Can we rent outside of turo to avoid the fee's" ... I have contacted my insurance USAA and they said only to...
Yeah, buying an X in late December, using it 100% for business that month, depreciating the whole thing, then maintaining >50% business usage was a hot topic under the old tax code.
I think so. That terminology of bonus depreciation sounds familiar and correct to me. I’m certainly no expert in this but we we did turo with a model x for a while before the pandemic for this reason. My accountant was able to depreciate the full value of the vehicle over the first year of...
I was in Vegas in April and Turo a cybertruck and I valet it several times over the 4 days we were there.. didn’t have any issues and was quite the stunner in April! I truly felt and was treated like a Celebrity! Good time!
I've had my AWD CT & Model Y on Turo since May. Still learning but have a few pointers below -
Don't count on 3 miles/hour from 15 amps, I get maybe 1 mph on 15 amps at 12v, and if it is cold AF it will be pretty damn near zero. Get that 220V extension cord, I've also seen setups that pull...
...and that i can finally place order for non FS come January. Seeing all the CT's sighting in the Tesla lots around Toronto is pretty insane. Hoping to get hands on one for a test drive (was going to Turo one for a day in Seattle when I travel this week but might wait and do it here in Toronto)
Congrats, welcome to the CT club, like you the CT was my third Tesla but first pickup of my life. Then yesterday decided I "needed" a new Y, so will pick that up on Monday. I'll have 2 Ys and a CT (all available on Turo) Both my wife and insurance agent love me despite both thinking I'm crazy AF.
