  1. 2024 Cybertruck Official Specs Leaked?! 😱 - Udated With Compare/Analysis

Correct, there’s plenty of configurations you can order, but nobody buys them so dealers don’t stock them. The truck buying public have largely spoken on this, they value some maneuverability and park-ability over maximum bed length. If anything CT buyers should feel like they’re getting a...

And note the F150 lightning is built on an identical cab structure to the standard F150, the benchmark of full size pickups.
  5. 2024 Cybertruck Official Specs Leaked?! 😱 - Udated With Compare/Analysis

  6. 2024 Cybertruck Official Specs Leaked?! 😱 - Udated With Compare/Analysis

11k is right on par with the ICE competition. No complaints at all on that number.
  7. 2024 Cybertruck Official Specs Leaked?! 😱 - Udated With Compare/Analysis

smaller battery pack and lower trim level models. Remember every ounce of weight decreases payload. More range, more tech, more goodies = less hauling capability.
  8. 2024 Cybertruck Official Specs Leaked?! 😱 - Udated With Compare/Analysis

Obviously no way to verify at this stage but these numbers look legit to the eyeball test. Lower rear seat headroom for one and the longer wheelbase than R1T but smaller length than a full sizer rings true.
  9. Cybertruck bed fully exposed w/ look at storage compartment cubby and LED lighting

Looks like the R1T cubby, not as big as the Ridgeline.

  11. Cybertruck frame in scrap yard shows no midgate and other details

Couldn’t have said it better 👍👍 although aircrafts don’t tow and often have low payloads, still apples and oranges.
  12. Cybertruck frame in scrap yard shows no midgate and other details

No, the body panels on the ridgeline are not contributing to this structure in a significant way, 1/2 of them are plastic and aluminum. The structure is the unibody chassis itself, that’s why it doesn’t collapse when you open the doors for example.
  13. Cybertruck frame in scrap yard shows no midgate and other details

Yes it’s a conundrum to non-engineers, but pickups need both strength and flex in the frames, that’s part of the reason the box is separate from the cab on traditional trucks. Not saying a unibody truck doesn’t work, because again the Ridgeline does work, it’s just not heavy duty and its design...
  14. Cybertruck frame in scrap yard shows no midgate and other details

The answer to how/if it can work… Honda Ridgeline. Unibody pickup with 4 corner independent suspension and no ladder frame, apart from not being an EV it’s the closest cousin to CT in that way. It’s renowned for its compliant ride and decent payload but low towing maximums. FWIW I also think the...
  15. Cybertruck Breaks Down in Mojave + F-150 Raptor Size Comparison + ~350mile Range Prediction?

Yeah those are the Scorpions that sometimes come on Fx4 fords, they’re billed by OEM’s as “all terrains” but they’re less aggressive than the other tires seen so far. Tesla must still be testing out OEM options for range and performance.
  16. Bulletproof tested Cybertruck spotted!! Musk confirms: "No bullets penetrated into the passenger compartment." [⚠️ ADMIN WARNING: NO POLITICS]

It’s already too late for guilt by association 😂 for real though if the summer of love in 2020 didn’t open your eyes to the usefulness of a bulletproof vehicle then I don’t really know what to tell you.
  17. Cybertruck VIN decoder! -- GVWR Vehicle Weight Revealed + **only** Dual and Tri Motor for 2024

I promise you it won’t be that much, you can’t cheat physics. Compliant ride and off road abilities are achieved with the exact opposite of that which achieves a high payload number.
  18. Bulletproof tested Cybertruck spotted!! Musk confirms: "No bullets penetrated into the passenger compartment." [⚠️ ADMIN WARNING: NO POLITICS]

CT wouldn’t stand a chance. 45ACP out of a rifle is clocking somewhere around 500-600ftlbs of muzzle energy. 5.56 and 7.62x39 are more like 1500ftlbs plus Rifle rounds travel much faster and have a penetrating bullet shape, apples and oranges. This does prove it’s handgun proof outside of magnum...
  19. Cybertruck VIN decoder! -- GVWR Vehicle Weight Revealed + **only** Dual and Tri Motor for 2024

I might have missed something but where are you getting those payload numbers from? The average Crew Cab 1500 pickup has a payload more like 1500-2000 pounds. Every ounce of weight added to the vehicle (power seats, heated seats, whacking great battery packs) as well as a suspension with high...
  20. Bulletproof tested Cybertruck spotted!! Musk confirms: "No bullets penetrated into the passenger compartment." [⚠️ ADMIN WARNING: NO POLITICS]

Gun nerd time! 45ACP is famously non-penetrating due to its wide meplat and short depth combined with shorter case and lower charge, however it does carry significantly more energy out of a 16” barrel from a rifle than 9mm does out of a typical 4” handgun barrel. Originally Elon said bulletproof...
