And...apparently you can move it to the right side of the screen to get a slightly larger view of it. I guess there will be an option to spray it with fluid to keep it visible in rainy/muddy/snowy conditions (?).
Around 14:10 on the video, you see the "rear view" mirror display on the center screen. Can we infer that when the tonneau is closed the rear view mirror IS the display and that it is always on?
If they didn't do V2H/V2V? For the V2H, you still need some external components that will not be included in the truck to feed power back to the house. They already have the plugs in the vault, so I don't see much of a difference there. I'm sure an electrical engineer could give a more...
This is where competition is a good thing. If Ford hadn't come along with the Lightning and said "yep, we are doing V2H" do you think Elon would feel obligated to match it?
My thought is: I'm going to buy the AWD model, not get the range extender (RE) initially, see if I *really* need it and then if I do, I'll buy it then. If you wait long enough, the price (and possibly the size) of the extender will go down (and hopefully the amount of range it will extend...
Truly, the max charge rate is going to depend on charging at a v4 SuperCharger (which there are not many of yet in the US). If the software locked the battery to make it fall under the IRS requirements to qualify for the tax credit, I'm all about that. If Range Extender = pay to unlock, sign...

As long as it is considered "separate" from the price of the truck (and doesn't impact the tax credit), I'll pay extra for a range extender (probably another battery stack).
This is going to be one of those times where you have to be realistic. The 4680s are brand new, so the range isn't going to be what they thought (hoped). It will improve over time (as have all other battery geometries and chemistries that Tesla has used to this point). I can live with 340mi...
When the door opens with the window down, the glass actually is raised a bit from the door frame, but then goes down when the door shuts. I guess the frameless glass protection is at both the full upright and lowered positions.
