I'm a minute 1 res holder, but I'm guessing Tesla will continue to inch out Cyvertrucks to insiders and won't deliver to the general public until Jan/Feb
Hate to burst everyone’s bubble, but there will NEVER be a 500 mile range truck with the current design.
The unibody structure of the CT simply was not designed to hold a larger pack. Improvements in battery density/ efficiency won’t get it there either, as both have largely plateaued in the...
Embarrassing. Zero reason not to put a larger pack, especially with $ per Kw being at the lowest in history. In terms of range, Tesla will already be behind the current competition.
Second time seeing the CT.
The driver was an absolute a-hole, really a poor representative of the Tesla brand. Was walking by and casually asked about the truck, said something like “how do you like driving it.” The guy just sneered and slammed the door.
He then proceeded to speed away...
I heard from an insider today that the pack will be 122kw (unsure if usable or total), unconfirmed EPA range would be about 305 tri (on A/Ts) and 340 dual (with road tires). Take that with a grain of salt. @JBee
