I was near the Plano, Tx Tesla store today. I stopped in to see if they would be getting a Cybertruck to display. Saleman said they wouldn't be. It doesn't fit through the store doors. He also said that Cybertruck scheduled to be displayed at the Dallas store was redirected to Austin.

Hey Crissa, where did you get that info about the two-motors-to-an-axle that wasn't carbon wrapped? We all know the Semi uses tri-motor. But has there been a tear down or Tesla saying that the motors are carbon wrapped?

I do not know that is true. Three motor design doesnt mean carbon wrapped motors. Plaid requires carbon wrapped motors. I havent seen anything that says tri-motor has carbon wrapped motors. Could have missed it. I have seen that Plaid requires carbon wrapped motors.

Dont get confused with a tri-motor vs tri-motor plaid. Plaid has carbon wrapped motors for high rpm. Regular tri-motor does not.

The only thing I do different is subtrack out the Tesla's deliveries for previous quarters. So the difference between the two estimates for the first few quarters are close. But evey quarter, Tesla's deliveries are ramping up. So a year or two after the CT announcment the deliveries...

What range do we really need? If you tow on a regular basis, then you will probably want something more than the referenced 350mi range. If you dont tow, why carry all of the extra battery weight. 350mi range makes sense.
