  1. Any new news on Cybertruck transparent aluminum windows or wipers?

If you read my original post I did not mention armored glass at all, this definition is very broad. I specified aluminium oxynitride (ALON) material for CT windows. Now please provide proof that this material will be used on all CT windows, even the 40k variant.
  2. Any new news on Cybertruck transparent aluminum windows or wipers?

Wasn't aware about that, this is encouraging. Hopefully they can source that transparent aluminium as it's a completely new product unlike other parts
  3. Any new news on Cybertruck transparent aluminum windows or wipers?

I think Tesla will start with the Dual Motor variant first, with regular automotive glass and wipers. ALON glass will be mostly an expensive option for the tri-motor CT, for which the production will start later.
  4. Batteries discarded at end of life?

Since these new battery packs are supposed to be at least 50% cheaper than current ones it will make less sense to service them. I believe that the rate of failure of a new battery pack will be very low (maybe even lower than for the current battery packs, since less complexity) and in those...
  5. Are you going to buy the Cyberquad ATV? [Poll]

Personally not a big fun of ATVs, mostly due to safety concerns. But interested what other people think.
  6. Cybertruck spotted in Fremont plant

You guys ruined all my excitement with your rational comments!
  7. Does Cybertruck need mega-castings too?

I should have specified that die casting SS is currently not possible, although Tesla could build a giant ceramic die but that thing will break/crack after a dozen of cycles. Anyway I still don't see Tesla using SS for anything else than CT's skin, which is huge SS quantity by itself...
  8. Does Cybertruck need mega-castings too?

I might be wrong as well but I don't see how Tesla or anyone else can make SS castings. If they make castings for the CT it will be of the same aluminium allow they developed for the Model Y. But I believe they would need a welded steel structure for CT underbody.
  9. If you could request three factory add-ons, what would they be?

    1. Integrated solar panels 2. Integrated battery charger for small power tools made by Tesla (yes, that implies I want Tesla to make wireless power tools) 3. Headrest displays for my kids
  10. Let's be honest - who disliked and/or was repulsed by the Cybertruck when they first saw it?

I somewhat understand people not liking Cybertruck's aesthetic design, because it doesn't have much of it. If you ask a person "Do you like the design of the brick?" there's really no answer to that. A brick is characterized by 6 faces and 12 edges and has a form that follows function. So is the...
  11. Let's be honest - who disliked and/or was repulsed by the Cybertruck when they first saw it?

As a Tesla enthusiast I was just interested in the event and what the truck would look like, wasn't planning to order at all, never owned a truck. As the front was coming out of that fog my reaction was "not bad at all", then it rolled on the scene and I was "but why?". As the presentation...
  12. Do you hold more than one CT reservation?

I didn't order my CTs all at the same time, but this guy will have trouble getting 51 Cybertrucks in possession all at once :). On a serious note, I believe Tesla will prioritize getting them to the greatest number of customers, they might even move repeat reservation to the back of the line...
  13. Do you hold more than one CT reservation?

I guess the majority have just one CT reservation, Personally, I hold 5 reservations for a couple of reasons. Are there any other members that hold more than 1 reservation?
  14. What is the best dog for CT?

    Shapewise, definitely a Bull Terrier:
  15. Cybertruck to use 48V instead of 12V?

I am wondering how the cooling system (octovalve?) pumps, FSD computer/entertainment system (probably no benefit from 48V), air suspension/on-board compressor, 110V/240V inverter will be powered? Can those benefit from a 48V?
  16. Name your top 5 reasons why you pre-ordered a Cybertruck

#1 - Stainless Steel body (good for Canadian winter roads) #2 - Electric #3 - I just felt in love with that interior #4 - Performance numbers #5 - Utility
  17. Cybertruck to use 48V instead of 12V?

Since CT is such a new platform compared to any other Tesla it would make a lot of sense (economic sense due to the anticipated volumes, engineering due to benefits of the higher voltage) to use the 48V accessories power system instead of the conventional 12V. Do you think Tesla will make this...
  18. FSD improving your reservation position.

Just imagine that the price of FSD is 25k when first Cybertrucks are delivered to customers, then Tesla will have the incentive of the quite the opposite. So no, I think Tesla will honor the proper reservation sequence.
  19. Cybertruck Prototype MIA?

agree, that prototype will be worth millions in a decade or two
  20. Canadian Prices Suck

It dipped for a short time below $1.00, but now it's back above
