Looking at tirerack, the 18 inch tires weigh 16 pounds less than the stock 20 inch tires. 40lb vs 56lbs. That's 64 pounds weight savings of the best kind, unsprung rotational weight.

With S and X out of the picture, Tesla has a less convoluted path to pricing their current lineup.
There's about a 100k order # difference from the lowest to highest reported online that I have seen. If even 20% of that is the promotional AWD, they sold 20k trucks in 10 days.
