I just pulled out my family’s old sheep camp trailer from a long time in hibernation. It has been in the family since new in the forties. Spent a lot of time on the ranch in that baby. Love it. It is actually fairly solid but for the windows and door. It will be a long restoration project, but...
I have the Kuat Pro X bike rack and it has LED full function rear lights incorporated into it. It triggers the trailer mode when you plug it in. Essentially it renders the lights an annoyance. Anybody on here figure a way around this bug? According to Chat the lights pull too much current...
Apparently fits well but not made of the most robust materials. As a tent it seems to work just fine. I don’t have one. A friend does.

I’m thinking about building a frame like a car port (dogport) that can mount to the bed or L track that has an open lattice structure on top so I can leave the tonneau maybe a third of the way open for my dogs and they can’t jump out. The frame would only need to cover the back portion of the...
According to Camus, the absurd is the confrontation between the human hunger for meaning and the unresponsive, meaningless universe-and the only authentic response is to embrace that confrontation without appeal to false hope, and to live with it consciously, passionately, and defiantly.

This is an attempt to inject a bit of levity. All this talk about class action suits, electrified trucks, domestic terrorism, CT phalanx at a punchless home made sign store protest, best ways to hate the haters, etc…. . This place is turning into such a drag that I’m concerned about range. It...
I finally managed to cobble the parts together and build my rack and modify my tent. The tent is a Thule Ayer 2 with winter pack. It was too tall so I ordered hinges from Thule for the Low-Pro 2 and mounted them on my tent. Thule doesn’t make either anymore. Then I used Simpson L brackets to...
Mad world. Went on a mountain bike ride today. Passed a guy on trail without incident. Guy was apparently waiting at the trailhead just so he could absolutely freak out about the cybertruck. As I pulled up he said let me tell you something. He just started yelling with pure rage about the...
I understand the rack interface is not great as far as strength. Who dreamed that up? But there are not many things I want to mount so they are falling off the truck. On a truck with outstanding acceleration? Ahhh no. At a minimum there should be an allowance for a flat crossbar surface without...
I am picking up my truck this coming Saturday. I bought the core wheels, but plan to eventually put AT tires on. Looks like the Open Country AT EV tires only come in 285/70R 20 instead of 285/65R 20. I would prefer the larger sidewall, but I wonder if I would run into problems. Thanks.
