This past weekend I visited friends in Mammoth Lakes, CA and we took my CT to Mono Lake for some sight seeing. They suggested taking the scenic loop back but we saw warning signs that it was closed. My buddy (who was in the drivers seat on FSD) suggested “let’s see what FSD does!” It drove up to...
I’m visiting friends in Mammoth Lakes, CA and drove them in the CT to Mono Lake for some sight seeing. They suggested taking the scenic loop back but we saw warning signs that it was closed. My buddy (who was in the drivers seat on FSD) suggested “let’s see what FSD does!” It drove up to just...
It’s always been difficult for me to find both the USB-C outlets and 115v outlets in the black hole of the console as well as the shadows of the rear pedestal. So I bought some reflective tape from Amazon and used a badge hole punch to make slots. It makes it quick and easy to reach back and...
I got the email and selected the nearby Costa Mesa SC for doing the work. I also added a few things like the leaking tonneau (right front like most everyone else), a rear passenger seat belt that never wanted to retract unless you guided it, and foggy windshield cameras that would occasionally...
When the CT was revealed, I went from not wanting a new truck to having to have a CT, namely because of its apparent superiority for use in my hobbies of driving up poorly maintained 4WD roads so that I can fly off the top on my paraglider or hang glider. No more dust covered gear in the truck...
In the recent locked-down thread about parking lights there were some comments about using high beams. And in another thread someone mentioned difficulty with the wiper.
It is easy to miss but when you push the steering wheel button for either the wiper or the headlights, a menu option pops up...
This looks like the perfect CT solution for those traveling through the occasional state that requires a physical side-view mirror.

So far I’ve had great success with automatic car washes but just got the Tesla racks and of course they say to remove them prior to using an automatic wash. Anyone have any experience with taking them through a wash that has brushes?
I bought a set of 3D printed adhesive door handle inserts off of Etsy and literally the next day my son sent me a different set that he bought off Amazon (larger and black rubber). I hadn’t seen them before and they are SO much better — they look nicer and are easier to use.
I didn’t like how the thumb drive stuck out into the narrow glovebox, almost begging to get bent, jammed, or broken off. So I got this cheapo adapter and now it’s flush against the back.

I find it annoyingly difficult to see and plug into the console USB port so I got a 90 deg port adapter which stands out both visually and by touch.

If you are going to do a hit and run in the Tokyo Bowl parking lot at 2402 Bay Area Blvd N, Houston, TX 77058, this morning, I recommend you don’t do it next to a CyberTruck.
I started out with a homemade suction cup and bungee mount on the glass roof. The roof slope does not match the desired tilt orientation and the azimuth is only correct if you can park on the given heading. The bottom line is it’s ok for basic stuff but inconsistent for TEAMS video meetings (not...
I had the Beast self park a couple of days and twice it watered my eyes with how close objects were to the left front of the car. And both times I didn’t intervene and it just parked perfectly. It reminded me that my point of view isn’t always the best (it’s a long windshield but a short nose)...
I did my first overnight camping trip, electric fridge/freezer, griddle, etc. Transitioned the backseat from remote office to bed and fell asleep after watching Netflix and some YouTube TV (using Starlink as a test). I almost packed a small step ladder but realized the flip up roof rack opening...
