I think there's a market for it, clearly when you look at demand for midsize trucks. Not everyone has an oversized or 2-3 car garage and there are plenty of city dwellers for which the Cybertruck is just too large to consider. Also where else will the bulletproof glass be utilized? :)
Agreed and doubt Tesla feels any public pressure to change the design when the preorders are strong and public sentiment seems to have changed (or softened) since the day it was revealed.
Some of the crazy renders and Musk warning you will either love it or hate it, does have me worried they will "try too hard" to stand out from the crowd. Futuristic and bold design is fine but this is a road vehicle I'll be taking to work sometimes. There needs to be a balance.
Surprised more people haven't mentioned this. I was curious about it too. If they are going for all-weather ruggedness LA might be an ironic place for a reveal :)
