~915 Cybertrucks spotted at Giga Texas today 4/16/24 due to delivery hold (for accelerator pedal issue)

This is a critical aspect in the car and a basic oversight that Tesla missed. An 'easy fix' doesn't take away from the fact that they screwed up the design ... but at least it is angular so it fits with the theme of the CT ... haha /s

Cabin Overheat Protection coming soon via OTA for Cybertruck

It is weird to me that they didn't even get these basics in the vehicle before it was released. Just how unique would this be compared to the other 4 Tesla cars for goodness sakes? Does it use enough energy that they were worried about that impact (range, PR, etc)?

Chevy Silverado EV RST functionality (tailgate, rear window, midgate, range, HUD) blows away Cybertruck

You guys are being downright silly now. Can we just move on from that topic after 2 days of it. The money difference is a rounding error in cost of road tripping and vehicle ownership of a $80K car.

Cybertruck V2 Range 500-640 Confirmed Possible - Battery Compartment Space

We often try to get our SOC fairly low at our lunch charging spot as we will stay there a little longer to eat and chill. Otherwise, if we drop below 100 kW, I evaluate if I can skip the next charger with just a little extra and if not then off we go. Routes over the past few years have...

Cybertruck V2 Range 500-640 Confirmed Possible - Battery Compartment Space

Everyone was applauding back when Elon's presentation was for 500+ miles and he was 'selling' that. Superfans turn on a dime to back whatever Tesla/Elon says currently. It is funny/odd/sad.

RANGE EXTENDER option when ordering Foundation

It reads to me like you'd still own $15,500 for the R.E. after depositing $500 and that it includes the cost of installation. That verbiage seems straightforward to me.

Chevy Silverado EV RST functionality (tailgate, rear window, midgate, range, HUD) blows away Cybertruck

As well people would typically charge at home and those EA or NACS Superchargers would typically be road tripping budget travel cost. It is all relative anyway and you'd have to compare the cost of filling up gas/diesel for the same number of miles (if that was the singular criteria in this...

Chevy Silverado EV RST functionality (tailgate, rear window, midgate, range, HUD) blows away Cybertruck

Fair amount of effort has gone on with GM and LG over the past few years to ramp up. >>> Ultium Cells, a joint venture between General Motors and LG Energy Solution, has announced the production and shipment of the first battery cells produced at the Ultium Cells plant in Spring Hill, Tennessee...

Chevy Silverado EV RST functionality (tailgate, rear window, midgate, range, HUD) blows away Cybertruck

Tech (some new but most old news): I understand some of that and know *all* the technical details of the cybertruck as when it was finally revealed I read all the tech articles and deep dive videos. You are not telling me anything tech about the CT that I don't very likely know. It was odd you...

Chevy Silverado EV RST functionality (tailgate, rear window, midgate, range, HUD) blows away Cybertruck

Very reasonable thinking. Thanks. Chart source (one of many show similar progress)

Chevy Silverado EV RST functionality (tailgate, rear window, midgate, range, HUD) blows away Cybertruck

Chevrolet/GM is certainly happy about that for sure. Obviously, Tesla has 'super' fans (ala foundation $eries still being sold) that will buy no matter what. The BlueOval in TN and KY are monstrous in size. They are built from ground up. They understand the assignment. [Aside: Tom M and Jim...

Chevy Silverado EV RST functionality (tailgate, rear window, midgate, range, HUD) blows away Cybertruck

You are being misleading. Many criteria has been pointed out a few times (see below). The CT is more lifestyle than the others. The other manufacturers certainly celebrated when the final version of the CT came out. They know the general truck market and have empirical data on how their...

Chevy Silverado EV RST functionality (tailgate, rear window, midgate, range, HUD) blows away Cybertruck

BTW for anyone that cares, I don't know what BEV truck I'm going to get yet. Heck I may end up with the CT if the pros (v2 supercharger access where I travel, FSD, carefree parking, ...) outweight the cons (a fair number in my view). We all have different criteria and I love the competition to...

Chevy Silverado EV RST functionality (tailgate, rear window, midgate, range, HUD) blows away Cybertruck

I think payload is often understated by the manufacturer erroring on the very cautious side. Seems like a small issue. Cybertruck payload would also be affected by an extended range battery pack taking up ~3'x3'x4' of bed space and 750+ lbs.

Chevy Silverado EV RST functionality (tailgate, rear window, midgate, range, HUD) blows away Cybertruck

You asked about 4WT and I answered. The non-towing is above too. You keep pivoting. Chevrolet provided what Tesla promised in 2019 and people loved it. Besides there is a correlation from a towing range to a non-towing range. Towing is way harder on the drivetrain and cooling system.

Chevy Silverado EV RST functionality (tailgate, rear window, midgate, range, HUD) blows away Cybertruck

4WT below: Realize the 2019 Cybertruck reveal boasting of the 500 mile range really enticed a lot of people with good towing and good road tripping without towing. People were over the top saying how Tesla nailed it. Many were waiting on the Cybertruck just for that reason. Both towing range...
