    Funny comments/questions about the Cybertruck

I think it would be amusing to hear what the general public is saying/asking when they first see a Cybertruck. And.....go!

I was checking my Cybertruck reservation today......

When I tried to use my phone app, I was able to swipe over to the Cybertruck and I see the blue button labeled "Go to Account". When I click on it, it takes to the Tesla.com website. When I go directly to the website within a browser, and click on the CT icon, I get this (definitely a first...

    Weight limit for roof?

Has anyone seen official numbers in terms of how much weight the CT will support on each of the 4 mounting points spaced along each edge of the vehicle? I know the weight limits for the crossbars that Tesla is planning to sell (220 lbs per set of crossbars), but is that the absolute limit for...

Cybertruck Megacharger compatibility possible? After Megacharger stall for smaller vehicles spotted

Do you think there will be an adapter or possibly that the Cybertruck will have 2 ports for charging in order to support a connection to the Megacharger? https://www.teslarati.com/tesla-megacharger-prompts-cybertruck-compatibility-speculations/ The Megacharger sighted at Baker, California is...

Thoughts on fit/finish based on delivery of an Austin made Model Y

I know that there has been a lot of discussion about Tesla's problems with fit/finish on their vehicles, but I'm telling you, the level of concern is overblown (at least for Austin made vehicles). We picked up our "made in Texas" Model Y this weekend (that we ordered back in April) and I gave...

    Closed tonneau rack system

I'd love to see Tesla provide mount points where you could have the tonneau cover closed and still mount a rack on the back. I like to go kayaking and it would be nice to be able to transport the 'yaks on the rack and all of the accessories in the (secure) vault when I go long distances.

    Solar range extender prototype

https://www.teslarati.com/tesla-solar-powered-range-extender-trailer-starlink-prototype-photo/ Something like this for the CT, perhaps or just a tonneau with solar panels built in? If they can reduce the weight and make it durable and easy to deploy, I'd love to see this as an option.

https://electrek.co/2022/06/22/tesla-cybertruck-design-locked-new-timeline/ After several revisions, Elon Musk says that the final Tesla Cybertruck design is “finally locked,” and he updated the timeline to production for mid-2023. When Tesla unveiled the Cybertruck back in 2019, Tesla said...

    Musk on Affordable Electric Truck

https://www.msn.com/en-us/autos/news/musk-on-affordable-electric-truck-extremely-hard-for-tesla-near-impossible-for-others/ar-AAUBbrm. I thought this was a bit telling in that Musk admits that it is going to be tough to keep the price of the CT down. I hope it doesn't mean that CT reservation...

    GigaTexas moving closer to production

This is good news! Looks like Tesla is getting the inspection approvals needed to start Model Y production in Austin. If they meet their December 31st deadline and start producing Model Ys in volume by April, how quickly do you think they will move to setting up the lines for the CyberTruck...
