Even something like that still isn't too great but hopefully yeah - better than bad adjustment or build going to display. I guess this kind of thing is why you really do ideally want to have some kind of PR department.
That's one of the things I'm scared of; another is whatever causes the...
Man it's disappointing to see the Tampa truck still has the terrible rear lightbar fitment. Especially after seeing 2 or 3 other near-perfect trucks so far.
What is WITH that?
Sure. But the size of CCS is still a bit over-sold in my opinion. Home CCS is small. When I finally used a fast charger CCS it was obviously bigger, but nowhere near the behemoth I'd been lead to expect. Is US CCS different?
If a greater share of the Thai population owns and drives a pickup than the share of the US population which does, then the Thais have greater per capita pickup truck ownership. I should have saved the URL of the article covering this for you. It was, however, a 2012 piece. I couldn't find...
I just found time to check some info. In 2012 the US was second to Thailand on a per capita basis, apparently. Gosh! Learn something new every day.
Nothing newer than that seemed to come up, Google really isn't what it once was.
I dunno man, I've never held a NACS charger. But it looks like it's maybe 20% smaller at best? Something like that.
Edit - here you go. Was (sloppily) referring to the home version; fast chargers have the full kit. Still smaller than what I've seen of the US version of CCS, I get it...
Couldn't tell you, just a factoid I read recently. I know they build them in Thailand but do they sell a ton of them there too? I don't recall seeing any there at all but that was a decade ago.
By miles my biggest worry. Elon wasn't kidding when he said it was a US-centric design. The asymmetric firewall etc too; that's what killed RHD S and X. Which I am still more than bummed about.
Australia is the biggest per-capita truck market after the US itself. C'mon Elon, throw us a bone...
With every pair of mount points a different width there's not much option but to make the bars adjustable. I don't want umpteen different bars if I can buy two the same.
Oh man, even now the frunk and door adjustments still SUUUUCK, and even the quarter panel has a big gap now, what the heck...
Yes, someone pointed out it wasn't definitive because the area has structure behind it, with which I agree.
However I took Greg Wester's (!) shot of the rear of (he says) Elon's car, where he claimed the panels were roughly kitchen sink gauge only ('because they can't get this pig to do a...
