Wouldn't it be great if instead of losing ground clearance or bed space, they could instead sacrifice the in-bed trunk for more battery space. They could even make the additional battery modular and removable so that you could save mass when you do not require the extra range.
I totally agree. I'd cough up the extra $$$$$ if it was even close to the 500 mile range that I'd made a reservation for. And my reservation already locked in the FSD at $6000. So I don't see any reason to get a "Foundation" model that isn't what I ordered.
I'm just curious whether those who have already received their trucks paid full price ($12K) for full self driving, or whether they paid the price they were quoted when they made their reservation. For myself, the main reason I made a reservation when I did was to lock in the price for FSD at...
Stainless steel grades 410, 420 and 440 – martensitic stainless steels. This type of stainless steel is magnetic primarily because it contains large quantities of ferrite in its chemical composition, which is a compound of iron and other elements.
I think it would be interesting to see if these rust spots are happening to trucks that get wrapped. Maybe someone who gets a clear wrap could comment?
I think 'keying' would cause damage to the wraps everyone is getting, rather than to the SS.
I wonder whether it would be possible to run something similar to a taser thru the SS. Should be safe as long as the wrap is intact, but try to key the vehicle thru the wrap, and ZAP!

After reading the article about tire longevity on the Rivian (https://www.thedrive.com/news/rivians-tires-are-wearing-out-in-as-little-as-6000-miles-heres-why), It has me wondering. Currently I replace my summer tires about every 5-6 years, and my winter tires about every 3-4 years. My guess...

Or...to keep deer out of the frunk. I don't care how good the SS on the CT is, I bet it won't withstand a 50mph collision with a deer/elk/moose without considerable damage.
