    The Model S is actually a very early October 2012 VIN#278 car with a refreshed third party fascia to update it. It’s in Signature red which was only available in the first 1,000 Model Ss. I consider the Roadster to be generation 1, the Model S generation 2, the Model 3 (as its name implies)...

    All of the above plus never having to worry about repainting or removing dents. I will be proud to add this generation 4 Tesla to gens 1, 2 and 3.

    I sincerely hope that readers of this thread realize that tax credits go to individual buyers, not Tesla. They may have an impact on pricing decisions by Tesla but, as comments on the thread point out, not all buyers will benefit including, of course, international buyers.
