Sad to say, "soon" in Tesla-speak means anywhere from a few weeks or months to several years.
With a grid connected 2021 system consisting of 12.25 kw of Tesla solar panels, 2 Powerwall+ units with separate inverters, a Gen3 wall connector and 2026 Cybertruck, I should be ready to go without...
Apples and oranges.
The 2019 hundred bucks was a fully refundable Reservation Fee. This $250 was non-refundable purchase deposit. I know this because I made one in Feb 2026.
It's reasonable to say it wasn't malicious intent on Tesla's part but rather just them being incompetent. Who should pay the price for the incompetence ... the buyer?
That's absolutely true before an order is placed but ... after an order is placed based upon those clearly stated conditions?
I dunno but if I was an attorney (I'm not) I might think about fighting it. I can't see letting Tesla retroactively change their stated conditions after the...
I saw this notice as well and for a brief couple of hours I was considering cancelling my PDM order and saving the $20K. If i had done that and then Tesla pulled back on the free FSD transfer from my Model Y, I would have been very pissed.
I feel for those of you who got caught in this little...
I like your optimism but there is no indication other than rumors that is the case. Elon seems to have turned his back on human driveable, non-fully autonomous (no steering wheel or throttle/brake pedals) vehicles.
I don't want a Cybercab and will always want the option to drive.
The FSD transfer deadline (end of March 2026) made me pull the trigger on the PDM Cybertruck a bit earlier than I wanted. I wanted all the "Premium" features so didn't go for the new DM despite the considerable price delta..
That said, it all worked out for the best and I'm happy to be driving...
It's good to see some of these finally getting out into the wild. I'm sure the enthusiasm exhibited here means nothing to Tesla. With converting Cybertruck lines to Cybercab and all the re-tooling needed for that assumed high volume product, the Cybertruck is being pigeonholed into the same...
Parking disengagements will continue for a while and in the meantime, I will continue to use FSD for 90%+ of my driving. The "streak" feature is on my ignore list.
I think the 2026 Models have a more sun resistant coating on the glass roof. I've driven in 100 degree weather this year and nether me nor my passengers had any issue with the glass roof.
Didn't read the entire Thread but as of today, Tesla shows zero Cybertruck's in inventory new or used and that has been the case for many months now.
Based upon VIN#'s I'm guessing +/- 100k Cybertrucks units have been produced thus far. Lets say 10K of those went to Tesla/SpaceX and a couple...
Two years later ... the Cybertruck barely gets a look at least out here in CA. I'm really glad I waited until 2026 to buy one. They're rare as hens teeth and no one cares ... perfect!
Yeah well is was a wedding and with an obvious Tesla/Elon hating crowd of 20-30 somethings, there was no point in taking it any further. I tried to enjoy the spirit of the day and when surrounded by people with such strange world views it wasn't worth the effort.
Was at a wedding this week with 230 people and 90% of them were interesting San Francisco carpet bagger types (not native SF people). In any case this woman (that is an assumption) saw my Cybertruck and starting stelling me and some friends of hers about a YouTube she had seen where "a couple...
He's certainly "disingenuous" and that is a defining trait of the used car salesman but I'd argue he not ignorant. Every move is calculated and he playing a character for a living and people are buying his shtick.
A quick Google search for Used Cybertruck's showed 9 results with least...
The speed profiles have definitely been toned down.
My wife and I attended a close friends wedding in a very remote location this weekend. We transported 4 of our adult children, 2 spouse's and 4 grandchildren in my 2026 Cybertruck and the wifes 2024 Model 3 AWD. We both have ver 14.3.3 and...
The data is there but as usual Tesla is playing their cards close to the vest. Considering all the FUD stories, I don't blame them of being quiet on a real problem.
Someone said these PCS units were put out intentionally which is of course ridiculous. Every EV manufacturer is having supply...
