I coated mine in December. The hydrophobics are still just as insane as they were the day I coated it. Clean. 8 year coating is definitely the best coating I’ve used so far. Good stuff!
Great idea waiting. Mine was pretty bad on the passenger side and it drove me nuts. I couldn’t wait to get mine replaced. I would have rejected the truck if I knew it was a defect. I just thought the windshield was dirty like every other one on the lot.
If that doesn’t get it off then it’s an imperfection in between the layers of the laminated glass. I had some areas on mine that looked like overspray. They replaced my windshield under warranty.
If it’s off gassing then apply Adam’s Brilliant Glaze with a microfiber pad, crosshatch the entire windshield, let it set 15 minutes then buff off with a couple clean microfiber cloths. I’ve done mine several times over the last 8 months and the inside of the windshield is perfect.
I would confirm with them that they have the replacement parts on hand before going. I had my windshield replaced and had to keep pushing my appointment out when they confirmed they didn’t have the windshield in hand. Once they did have it there then I had it replaced in one day. No sense in...
Thanks man. I spent around 3 hours doing the Bar Keepers and the around 3 more hours prepping and installing the ceramic coating. It did it over a couple days period then let it set a couple more days to cure.
It’s holding up great. It seems just as hydrophobic as the day that I installed it...
Go for it. You won’t regret it. I followed those steps and coated mine in December. It’s holding up great. It’s so easy to keep clean now. Don’t listen to the just use Sprayaway comments. Yes that kinda works but a coating is way easier to maintain. It looks clean even if it’s dirty.
Yeah this is true. Only time will tell. I feel pretty good about the coating. It’s just as hydrophobic today as the day I installed it. I’ve used different types of coatings on my other cars in the past and this one seems superior.
Don’t knock it until you tried it. I’ve had the coating on 4 months now and couldn’t imagine going back to the way it was. It’s very easy to maintain a perfect looking truck now.
Go with Pan’s 8 year coating. It’s easy to install, it’s extremely hydrophobic and it doesn’t darken the color of the stainless like most coatings do.
