I saw an image of the Ford - it was under a sheet, but is a heavily modified version of the Lightning - nothing like the street version. So, even if a beast ran the course and was slower than the Ford, no shame in that.
Love the thread! Iām a ways down the list, so have time to save up some cash, and really looking forward to the real world user feedback and all the improvements the engineers will undoubtedly make based on that feedback. I will be living vicariously through owner reports here in the meantime...
Pretty wild - a little over a month ago I was seriously bumming that I hadnāt put in my reservation sooner (put reservation in May 2020). Between the range and price, Iām actually pretty happy now. Hoping both will improve by the time itās my turn to order!
I thought I would have a couple of years before my number came up and was hoping to get some iteration on the design before that happened. Now Iām a little concerned that my time to order will come up much earlier than that. Think Iāll have to continue waiting and pass if my number does come up...
In the winter we tend to get a good bit of snow/ice buildup in the wheel wells. It usually comes off pretty easy, but I will have to remember not to whack the accumulation off in that area. I probably have at least one winter, likely two, to see if others report any issues
Where are people driving, in a brand new $50k (hopefully?) truck that this would be of any use? I canāt see a need, and if there is an actual need you would want to do some proper armoring anyway.
With the new Ford incentives, seriously looking at an F150 lightning to bridge the gap for the likely two+ years until my CT number comes up. Donāt think it will happen, but if the CT prices are too expensive maybe hold the Ford for another year or so until I can afford a lower spec trim hopefully.
