Update:
I had the truck towed in Friday as the problem progressed to where the truck would no longer start or charge before the scheduled appointment occurred. Except for the tow truck driver - of course it started right up for him and he was able to drive it onto the flatbed. There’s nothing...
Oddly enough my build date falls under the inverter recall period (November 6, 2023 to July 30, 2024, build date of 6-24), but per the Tesla recall website the VIN is not subject to that recall.
Guess I'll just have to wait and see what they find.
Per TeslaFi, any home charges over thirty minutes duration are hovering around 47.7-47.8 amps.
Service has responded with a quote (all covered under warranty, except for the tire of course), but no remote diagnosis. Since it's drivable now, I'm just waiting to see what happens.
Yesterday morning, I went out to my truck after it had been sitting since Christmas Eve, roughly one week. I'd gotten a message that the right rear was low (it appears a nail had caused a slow leak). I refilled the tire, and then jumped in the truck. Battery showed roughly 50%.
When I went to...
To be honest, the reason I didn't drive the Cybertruck was because my Ram has a 500+ mile non stop range, whereas the cybertruck is roughly 250-300. When it's a quick turnaround, I didn't want to have to think about recharging. My next trip up there will be with the Cybertruck, and I'll learn...
A second Cybertruck! Wait - that's the wife's car. :D
Keeping the Ram 2500 as my second. Much as I love the CT, it doesn't have the range I want when pulling a decent trailer, and the idea of dropping the trailer every hundred miles to go supercharge is a nonstarter.
She was actually planning on buying an X Plaid lol. The CT is such a massive leap in terms of build quality and suspension it made the X a no-go. Although the X does have a better console with the gauges in front, IMHO.
What'll be hard for me doing the Vegas run will be not stopping at the OG Del Taco in Barstow - that breakfast burrito is my wake up call! But yeah, the number of stalls going that direction is insane!
Drove the Ram 2500 from LA to Napa, Sacramento and back in 3 days because I didn't trust an electric car in cross country travel never having had an electric car. My Ram now feels very outdated after a couple weeks in a CT. Nowhere near as comfortable, nowhere near as quick. And after driving...
