Rehydrating this thread - is there a luxury tax for the Cybertruck in Ontario? I went to look at the Lucid gravity and noticed they call out “excludes luxury tax” so got me wondering if CT FS and nonFS still exempt?
And just like that, Tesla came to senses and inventory FS back to original price. Not sure what they were thinking jacking the prices the other day on FS inventory which isn't moving. Now time to offer some more incentives on nonFS and get more of these on the road here!
Truly hoping this drives sales to a new level in the US. Here in Canada $0 government rebates and still priced over $114k + options so it will really only penetrate a tiny part of the market until they can get below 100k (maybe RWD?). I've wanted this truck since 2019 and was kinda bummed to...
Went in this morning and i see the discount on FSD. It was full price the night they launched so must of been a lag in getting that updated. Makes me feel a bit better to see $1800 break. Now going to be super curious if they put extra incentives on at end of quarter.
nope no incentives on NonFS in Canada. Inventory FS price jumped but you still get a free wrap. Will see if they actually start selling as 115k base price without FSD is still pricey.
Does Tesla honor the original FSD Pricing offered during 2019 reservation? I just went to configure my nonFS Canadian order and it's asking for full 11k on FSD. I had thought they were honoring the original FSD price?
Great news for Canada. Rough math if you load it up is $115+11kFSD+5k WHEEL Upgrade = $131K vs. original 137K FS pricing (i wouldn't go for white interior upgrade). Now really bizarre they have raised remaining FS inventory pricing from 137k to 153k (inc. free wrap still)! Seeing the NonFS...
happy for all of you south of the border! This is a pretty big incentive that should move units. We're still stuck with FS edition at full pop up here in Canada...
ah gotcha. I didn’t realize you were using USD pricing and converting using exchange rate, I had a Quick Look at Carvana and few US used sites and see there are 2024 FS AWD at around 85 to 87k. This would imply about 12-15% off the new price. The used ones here aren’t selling either - same...
How so at 147k? Pretax it is 137990 plus destination fee so 140k plus tax. That 140k now includes an Xpel wrap voucher so call it 135k.. hence why I am thinking 120kish is fair (tax extra as here it is paid to licensing office).
Looking at buying a used FS AWD here in Canada. Lots for sale in local area but they are advertised as same price as a new inventory unit - 139k CAD. As if sellers still think there is some lack of supply. What is typical price you are seeing? My gut says 120k would be a good deal given...
Yes so many variables. I will be interesting to see what else gets offered in last couple weeks of q1 to really move the inventory.
re: tariffs I think this will hopefully be done in a few weeks. I ordered a model Y launch and am hoping they can bring them in from China or Giga Berlin to avoid...
