  1. Caliper Brake Covers for Your Cybertruck: Easy Install - by CyberGear

I guess I'm in minority here, but if you spend the money on a CT, just get the calipers painted if you wanted colored ones. Covers look cheap but yes, that's just my opinion
  2. Cybertruck rear quarter panel replacement cost = $2,796 and 1 day of work

Much cheaper than fixing the door ding on my Rivian which hit the gear tunnel door and part of the side of truck bed - $8900 to fix it. lol
  3. CYBERTRON Cybertruck Build ($30K Aftermarket Upgrades)

I expected embedded lighting all along the colored lines on the panels with that wrap that would light up and change colors. what a let down...
  4. Just got the email to order the Foundation Sseries Cybertruck!

Money isn't an issue? Buy it now, YOLO--------------...
  5. Received my notice just now to design founders series order (Reservation 1128n).. fyi.

Same here...but I'm waiting... What's odd is my buddy ordered his the night of the reveal and he's still waiting on the invite. He is a current Tesla owner like me, and living in the same San Diego area. Not sure what's up with that.
  6. Cybertruck rescues a Ford F-150 stuck in snow

Tesla sold themselves short, they should have found a semi and pulled that out instead like Rivian did: https://insideevs.com/news/654900/rivian-r1t-recovering-semi-truck/
  7. Why aren't you accepting the Foundation Series invitation?

It's really confusing. That's what I feel like to some degree, but then there is a situation like me and my buddy, both living here in SoCal. He placed his CT order the night of announcement, I placed mine the morning after. Both of us are current Tesla vehicle owners. I've already gotten an...
  8. Why aren't you accepting the Foundation Series invitation?

Same here. Got invite to order but I'm holding. Due to: - I only buy EV's as a new vehicle to take advantage of the incentives like $7500 - which won't qualify - I don't want an FS series and all that it includes - I couldn't care less of limited series etching, FSD, or powershare - I would...
  9. Tesla will change Foundation Series order to Non-FS without penalty (YMMV)

I got my invite today but as some of the others, I'm going to wait. A big reason I buy EV's new is to get the $7500 tax credit (now instant rebate). So until I can buy the non-FS, I'll be waiting it out.
  10. Buying the FS CT Isn't Logical

Once I'm offered the chance to buy, and not required to by the FS, I am thinking of the AWD version. For me, although the range isn't ideal, it could be similar to my Rivian R1T, but less worry about dings/scratches which is what I really want most. I want to be able to go to beach, surf...
  11. Cyberbeast on Turo $900/day

Early on, when not as many CT's are in your area, I think it won't matter. As more and more are available, the beast may rent a bit better but I doubt enough to justify the price difference. Also keep in mind, the chances of crashing it may be higher with the beast since people who...
  12. Roof Rack accessory installed on Cybertruck [video + pics]

It seems like they designed it similar to the Rivian one which can be width adjustable - probably so that you can mount it in the different spots where the width isn't exactly the same. My R1T racks don't break down into pieces but you can compact it to it's shortest settings which helps with...
  13. Rivian CEO Doesn’t Think Cybertruck Will Lure Away R1T Customers... Agree / Disagree?

I love my Rivian R1T, but I wouldn't pay today's prices for it. Not because I don't think it's worth it, it is in my mind, but just because I feel the values will drop significantly from the current selling price. I got mine for $64k new after rebates and original pricing I qualified for...
  14. WTH is Tesla doing....

This all reminds me of when the R1T started getting delivered...we had the same type of threads popping up over in those forums about how dare someone else get a delivery before them. The delivery order was odd, didn't make much sense, and upset more than a few. But the fact is, we don't know...
  15. First Clear PPF being installed on Cybertruck (Foundation Series)

Yeah, mine is self healing but you get a gouge big enough, it's not going to heal. a lot of my smaller rock chips from driving on the freeway are fine. but I have 1 from a fairly large rock that must have hit it, and that one door ding. it's in the shop for an unrelated door ding on my gear...
  16. First Clear PPF being installed on Cybertruck (Foundation Series)

ah, good points. I didn't thinka bout that. I can imagine finger prints all over it. I'm just looking forward to going surfing or that dreaded mall with parking spots made for a fiat and not worrying about door dings
  17. First Clear PPF being installed on Cybertruck (Foundation Series)

I mean I know PPF protects, I have it on my Rivian, and it did protect the paint from rock chips already and a door ding. But it doesn't always self heal. The large rocks that hit, and the door ding scraped up the PPF. So I have to replace those sections eventually. But with the non-painted...
  18. First Clear PPF being installed on Cybertruck (Foundation Series)

Doesn't a clear PPF kind of seem a bit pointless? They made the Cybertruck with this material to be able to handle all the rough elements of being outdoors, and then you wrap it with a PPF to protect that? I'm probably just ignorant...but seems odd to me
  19. Side Mirror Removal How-to DIY Video Instructions (English Version Added)

haha yeah, that looks pretty much like any other side mirror and how it would be mounted to the door. taking off interior panels, while not extremely difficult, is not 'VERY easy'. Many people, if it's their first time, will probably break some of the plastic clips off by mistake
