Yes this is true, and it varies state by state, however with Tesla everything is extremely hard and slow. And there is no repercussions for starting the process early.

I mean that's Tesla's choice to lower the deposit amount. I think at this point they're less worried about having one sitting on the lot that somebody backs out of. Hence the lower deposit requirement.

Yes I'm well aware of how the updates work LOL, the only difference in this one was that there was a lull between releases and the initials were very small even for cybertruck standards. I'm sure we'll all have it within a week.
