Great questions! While the aluminum adjustable drop hitch will do 12,500 lbs, the highest weight rated black riser I could find is made by Curt for 7,500 lbs, which is fine for my 6,500 lb surf boat. I don’t plan on flooring it from the line with the boat behind me :-) Link: https://a.co/d/cF6Uaus

My hack to get top of ball to 24” with adjustable aluminum hitch into the receiver, which is buried 3” behind the bumper. While I was able to get the aluminum hitch to drop from the stock receiver, the bumper was in the way when attempting to flip it over to get it to rise.
