i thought it would, but I don't think it does. I had another car hauler that got the same hauling my 4000 station wagon on, it didn't have the rock-guard..... I think the width is the killer on both and the rock guard probably makes it worse...
I just wanted to give some of my experience with towing. I've put over 70,k miles on ct's and my current beast has 52k miles... We travel all over and I also pull lots of different trailers. I've found that the shape of the trailer/load make the most impact.
For example... the 2 4 wheelers...
We have done plenty of road trips, ( i have over 65k miles on CT's). We are going to Lake Havasu from Dallas for a Jetski event, I'd like to leave my trailer there at the vrbo and drive from there to southern CA... start a northern road trip along 1/101 then loop back down eventually back to...
im planning on a westinghouse 11k generator i will just use gasoline in. It is seriously just for back-up. i have a 20' long aluminum car hauler with a large front box and rock guard, dual axle. i'll have the gen up front, gas cans, a stand=up jetski first sideways, then 2 can am outlander...
We travel a lot with a trailer and I've upgraded to an even larger trailer 20' alum with front box. It will carry 1 stand up jetski, 2 large can-am 4 wheelers and an 11k generator. Im buying the generator just for back-up along these long road trips (i also have a urander bed cap so my milage...
a trailer you can actually use to haul on AND had a pack would be great. like my flatbed car hauler. We haul a light across the US and it kills mileage, were lucky to get 100 miles pulling it. just another 50 would be great.
ive been trying to find something that won't kill range for hauling my 4 wheelers and jetskis etc when we go on trips.. I prefer an enclosed and see some v-nose but never seen anything with better shape. It should be easy to build a low roof, with a nice angled front but I haven't seen one...
My bed cap kit comes in tomorrow! I plan to make a sunday out of installing it. my question is this... should I use black RTV (silicone) to seal all the joints when assembling? I want this 100% waterproof. When we travel, we put all our stuff in the bed that can't get wet...
so you only did 4 miles each way? I have a BC 16... i've found it to be WAY better than any other enclosed type trailer.. that said, If im going to go 60-65mph, I usually draft off a big truck and it helps a lot but never have we seen sub 600 on long trips with it. i can get right at 600 if i...
Just checked the beast... had this truck since Sept 24' never rotated tires (yeah i know).. fronts 7/32 rear 8-9/32 21k miles and I tow often... 90% highway driving. looks like i should get 40k out of these tires at this rate to 2/32
drive home was about 625ish ..... average ended up around 550... that was at 65mph 2nd round looks like at 60mph, i can get at least 200 miles/charge.... good to know... going to Roswell!
well, I picked up an Airstream basecamp 16' first test of 50 miles at 61mph was around 550wh/mi.... much better than i'd even thought it would be... i'll test at 65mph on the way home to see how much the difference is.
Im pretty new to camping (well, it's been 30 yrs). Were wanting to run up the pch, ca,wa, etc from Texas. we don't need a big camper, small is fine, but is an a-liner (pop-up) worth the extra hassle and cost vs a standard teardrop? anyone towed both? I know towing my pontoon kills mileage...
I was really curious on his example he uses so i did some mathing myself 3' to the hitch going to centerline of trailer wheel means the trailer fenders are about 18" from the bumper on each side... you couldn't even turn a corner with a trailer that small.... no way in hell you'll have any...
I just want to see someone with an 11,000 steel ball elevated 3' up in the center of a single axle trailer thats only 6' long in total.... I think that thing would probably flip the trailer over on just making a u-turn... lmao..
i still got the email for wheel covers on my truck i sold back in September... I also got one months after for one i sold i may.... I bet you get the email, but install is tied to the truck. as for peoples values remember carvana etc are dealers, they want to make 10k and will post those...
