That’s some intense snow! I know 13 feet a year is nothing compared to some other locations. In laws from upstate new York talk a big game but their annual snow fall is nothing compared to even where I live, places like your stomping ground would be overwhelming for them.
I live just above 10k...
I don't think I pay that much attention to it. I just know it feels great to have traction on snow.
I haven't noticed anything significant in handling. There was some tire noise early on but that seems to have gone away.
I live just like 30 mins off of I-70 up in the Colorado mountains, I would not get studded tires.
The high Colorado sun is great at melting snow, even if it's not above freezing. I will watch the snow on my driveway melt when the high air temp is 20 degrees. I have the non-studded Nokian...
There is a max speed for these sort of chains (30mph? I have to check) so they are not something you just put on and drive on the highway normally. I have them ready to go for my truck, but I also have dedicated winter tires on them (Nokian Hakkapeliitta LT3).
For me chains are a last resort...
I have the clearvue rear camera sprayer installed and it’s awesome for snow.
It took just over 3 hours to install, it just tees off the front camera sprayer. To activate it you just spray the front camera and you get a mostly clean rear camera too.
I have noticed that if I do a hard...
Welcome to the club!
I can't imagine what it's like to be so angry at something for existing. Jokes on them since they are going to be selling a lot of these things. This isn't some limited edition, what's the goal like 200K a year? Sucks to be a hater.
I have this installed and it's fantasic

it took about 3-4 hours to install, drilling a hole through the steel took a long time, even stepping up the oiled up bits.
I just wish I had a physical button on the steering wheel to do the spray.
I had a similar eye roll. I live in the Colorado mountains and we get 160” on average and we are not even known for our snow fall.
What you forgot is that NY is the epicenter of the world and no other state matters. That’s why they have the snowiest cities. When you dismiss every other city...
I have the OEM all terrain wheels, I got a 2nd set of rims from eBay that are also the all terrain rims. The were $1,500 with shipping and I just liked the look so I went with them. I need to get someone in town to mount and balance the Nokian tires to them sometimes this week. We just got a...
I have them off gassing in the yard right now. They will go with some all terrain rims from eBay.
I might get them mounted this weekend in honor of the snow (not even the first snowfall of the season here). But I probably won't mount them for a couple more weeks given that it's still getting...
Total towing noob here and I want to get the "right" hitch for the cyber truck.
This shock absorbing trailer hitch looks like a good match for the truck, especially given the frame is aluminum. While I don't think this type of hitch is required by any means it looks like a good match since...
Am I reading this wrong? These (although gorgeous) tires are just 3 peak rated all-seasons and not actual dedicated winter/snow tires. So 10% better than average? whatever the average is.
I still plan on putting blizzaks on some rims I got from ebay...
The official Tesla Tire Pressure Monitoring System Sensors are $95 each:
https://shop.tesla.com/product/cybertruck-tire-pressure-monitoring-system
On amazon there say they support the cyber truck, but. have serious doubts since the S/X/3/Y sensors from Tesla are sold saying they support those 4...
On average? 0
The vehicle could stop at 5 miles left, or even 10 miles left, or it could go on for a few added miles. This is because the estimated remaining range is a guess, hence the "guess-o-meter" nickname.
Years back someone was excited to see their Tesla kept reporting more range on a...
