Tried the Renaissance wax since I had some around. Left too much haze for me, so had to then remove it.
Also used a clay bar on the whole thing and sorta regret that. Left some swirls that I then had to work on more to get out.
But all in all it's looking good again.
That's a beautiful Ferrari! Yes, don't know about all the drama surrounding EVs and Tesla in particular. I had a truck that some people might think was too old, and now this is too new. ha, whatever. The Cybertruck is a great vehicle that is already iconic.
After rereading the linked pdf I'm going to have to agree with the 3,878 number total manufactured through April 4th of this year. Not sure where they obtained it, but assume it was from Tesla and they do state that number plainly...
I wonder if "delivered" means from the factory production line? It all sorta makes more sense if you figure the 3878 number came after an original amount of deliveries, of roughly the same number. So when exactly was the pedal cover or attachment process redesigned? I think the production change...
The numbers blowing around still don't add up. The recall number is approximately half of this number.
My guess is that all trucks already delivered will not be recalled for the pedal rivet fix, regardless of the way it's worded. Some probably don't need it.
We likely will receive a more...
I've used a orbital on it now to fix my dealers experiment - probably they were using Bar Keepers Friend and then some sort of pad... Their result was not good. And what they did is not what Tesla recommends.
Matching Tesla's finish is possible to do. However I used a rather special pneumatic...
I checked it. No not concerned.
if I have them fix it they better fix some other darn thing at the same time or it's really not worth the trouble to take it in.
I also wonder about the tendency of some owners to floor it hard, slapping it down to get that max acceleration rush. I see it over and over on youtube videos. But it's not normal to do in everyday driving.
My nit pick is that the rivet is round...
Same here. The cover is attached firmly. It was engineered to stay put, so don't really know if some soap lubricant they are now calling unapproved would affect every vehicle. It doesn't seem to be a problem on my vehicle at all.
Wrapping it doesn't really count for making the welds invisible.... They aren't.
Good effort though!
It was interesting to learn about the wiring in the door using the same color wires for various different operations in the same small harness. And that the technical reference on the wiring...
Here the sun still covered by the moon by about the same amount as I took a bite out of the bagel to illustrate. A feeble attempt at humor... and it was a delicious freshly toasted bagel :)
Anyway...
I’m so glad the universe took the time to show us it’s party trick. :)
A fantastic reminder...
Charged it back up Monday after the big Eclipse trip to 80%, now it's Friday and I still don't really need to charge it more to go anywhere... 142 miles left from the last charge. Seems about like a tank of gas as that will usually last me all week.
We had a wonderful trip to Natural Bridge Arkansas to see the Total Solar Eclipse. I wanted to travel very near the centerline and figured that would be a great place to see such an amazing Solar phenomenon, and also couple it with a natural geologic wonder! I had read on tripadviser that it...
Tires did get a little dirty, but not bad. Here they are after the drive.. I just cleaned them off today with a power washer, and now they look new again.
Nope no Leer Jet, and never going to have one for sure, ha.
Vanity didn't have anything to do with it as it's my only off road truck now. And I liked the idea of not polluting the air with my drive to see the sun.
Skipped most of the traffic by taking a few very rural backroads! Did about an...
