MY has an extended warranty option you can sign up before the initial warranty expires like all the other Tesla models… The PCS issue costs up to 7,000 dollars after you pass the 50,000 mile mark many people in this forum and elsewhere have had to pay the full cost of repairing that, which is...
I've been thinking a lot about whether Tesla is eventually going to offer some type of extended warranty or special coverage program for Cybertruck owners, especially Foundation Series owners.
The reason is simple: Cybertruck is not aging like a typical Tesla product launch. We're seeing a...
That’s all we need in the news… “Cybertruck owner shoots and kills driver for brake checking them” we’d need our “bulletproof” trucks after that!
We feel the same in our state and own an FS Cybertruck and Model Y. But what are we supposed to do? I’m considering buying a Rivian and trading in the Cybertruck. I test-drove the R1T and it was nice, storage was awesome, not as unique as the CT, but it felt amazing to drive and not have people...
Most of them are making fun of us!!! This truck isn’t “cool”… pop culture hates it. Sucks owning one I love it, but seriously get slight anxiety every time I’m driving in public populated places waiting for middle fingers and looks of disappointment and disgust. Wish people would just ignore it...
We need to file a class action suit for this problem. The fact that they are backordered and trucks are piling up due to this issue, along with the fact that they have issued updates to the fleet to mitigate the problem, all suggest that they are well aware of the impending problem. However...
If they offered me the FSD transfer I’d do it in a heartbeat I’m stuck like you, although I’m still tempted to trade in to get the new warranty. I’m still waiting for my PCS failure to happen right when I’m off camping this summer or just after I pass 50k… the 4 to 7k I’ll have to pay to fix it...
Exactly!! They know this is wide spread but still some of us will have to pay thousands for it and for others it will be free!! And now they include it in the warranty of trucks being sold!!!
Same here. losing free FSD forever really makes it a deal breaker… but I’m also worried about my PCS which hasn’t failed but I’m at 30k miles and if it goes after warranty it would cost me more than the FSD subscription over the next few 7 years. Really tempted to trade in for a fresh truck...
Maybe people just out of 50k had to pay up to 7k… if that’s what you mean by made whole again, I’d think Tesla should cover it as patter of the battery system coverage
They are not being proactive at all. Proactive would mean acknowledging that they put a faulty part in your trucks, rendering your vehicle useless because you won’t be able to charge it. They would then replace the faulty part, rather than potentially charging you up to 7,000 dollars or, if your...
Ye
File with NHTSA… please everyone file these when they happen state that this can be a safety issue if you end up stranded in the middle of nowhere or in extreme weather conditions. It’s crazy this isn’t a recall yet. This is the first time I want a recall!!
For your second note. I think they only don’t fight you if you’re under 50k miles. Otherwise people just toast that are paying up to 7k to get it replaced.
