I am hoping/waiting/predicting that they extend the delivery (not order) deadline into q2, which theyāve already done in at least parts of Europe/Asia.
it would make sense for customers (at least the ones willing to order a premium CT) who feel burned by the āshenanigansā, generate lots of...
I had a loaner CT for one night and plan to purchase one soon. My garage allows for about 1ā of clearance lengthwise but itās doable with the bumper camera. I actually modified the back wall of the garage so the studs arenāt in the way of the bumper, otherwise it would be impossible. I plan...
in California, charging a CB at home (even with solar system) with average mileage is well over $1000 per year. Iāve got plenty of local superchargers near where I live and frequently park. The savings would add up for sure, especially accounting for increasing PGE rates over time.
I see this...
Regarding the headlights, the other threads are vague from what Iāve read, Wes/Lars donāt seem to agree on the matrix lights capability. Is it a hardware or software limitation? I guess time will tell.
from the outside, the headlights look to be roughly the same size between the two cars. Obviously the inside might be a different setup and I think it probably is. I was using the adaptive lights last night and they are a subtle but nice feature because the adaptive brights stay on much more...
I own the new Model Y which is an excellent vehicle in many ways. Iāve noticed the CT I recently checked out at the store is missing two small but very nice features that the new Model Y has:
adaptive matrix headlights and swiveling front fan setting in the climate controls.
Does anyone know...
Obviously the Beast isnāt really an upgrade anyone really needs but Iām impressed that the efficiency is so similar between the two options, especially when comparing range differences for S/X on the dual/tri motor options. I know they use different motors but according to the range ratings...
Can anyone here tell me whether thereās any noticeable real world difference in efficiency for the AWD vs the CB (assuming same tires)?
Actual efficiency numbers would be appreciated if youāve got them to post. Obviously lots of repeated quick acceleration kills efficiency, but Iām wondering...
I agree that the ride quality in the CT is amazing and it has a ton of utility and even efficiency for a truck, not to mention all the other features. I test drove one a few times, including one extended drive and itās awesome. Ive owned two Ys, two 3s, and two Xs, and the CT is clearly...
Iām personally not surprised that demand is limited at current prices, even considering the $80k CT.
I just bought a new MY for over $30K less than I would have paid for the CT, plus I got no interest financing which I obviously wouldnāt have with the CT, effectively increasing the cost...
I think the variable medium to long term is whether CT ever goes international beyond NA. Knowing Tesla, theyāll find a way to get approval, but if not prices are more likely to drop over time as they only have 2 countries plus Mexico which has to be quite a small market.
By my calculation, leasing and then buying is now cheaper than financing, because of the tax credit and the new reduced lease rate. That seems like a good deal. Does anyone know if ā25s are being delivered yet?
the Rivian test drive was ok. I see why they are struggling while competing mainly with Tesla. I have even less faith now re: the companyās solvency.
compared to the CT, the R1S felt clunky. The 2.9 0-60 in the tri requires launch mode so it actually feels slower to me than the awd ct...
the problem with financing now, for most buyers anyway, is no tax credit vs leasing with the tax credit. I donāt know if low financing is any better than the new lease rate (as of tonight) with the tax credit. Anyone else able to calculate the difference?
Iāve tested driven the CT and itās great but like a lot of people, I only need a truck maybe once a year. Here are my considerations. For anyone reading this whose owned both vehicles, please chime in:
The R1S is almost 2 feet shorter with obviously way more usable interior space. Turning...
Btw, Iām cross shopping with the Rivian R1S Tri and the lease transparency problem is the same- $500 deposit required to get all the details. I never thought Iād consider Rivian but the R1S might just be more practical for my needs, especially car camping. Im test driving Saturday.
The lease numbers on the website donāt make much sense to me or just lack details
It defaults to $7500 down but then says ~$12k due at signing. Is the $7500 covered by the tax credit making $4500 due at signing? What if I want to buyout early, whatās the penalty and what would my total out...
Youāre obviously right about the volatility but thatās all the more reason to make the credit available asap and pull forward demand.
Since it isnāt available, thereās got to be another reason- ie Chinese components in the batteries, with stricter limitations coming in ā25. Updating the supply...
