Yeah he said it didn’t make sense since one of the times it happened was at night and cold. Just that the log was showing overheat so maybe due to something else.
Picking up tomorrow
It fixed itself after 24 hours. Then camera stopped again. Then came back. A week later the right camera went out. No visualizations at all on screen. Did a screen reboot. Now works. Taking it for service on Tuesday.
Just got this today. Nothing in the preview in car. Tried restarting screen but still no camera preview.
Without the cabin camera FSD is not available. Earliest appt. Is Friday in Santa Monica and I’m in the valley. They were offering 2nd week in February at a closer service center. Wtf.
One solution it looks like maybe I can 3-D print something that fits over the four window buttons. It’s mostly my window that I accidentally lean and open, but I’d like to keep all those buttons from being accidentally pressed. Seems like a simple 3-D print.
Even if you have locks enabled child locks enable that doesn’t matter. If your elbow leans on the window switch, the windows will go down. Can’t we lock them even from the driver seat?
The front-facing camera is equipped with a sprayer nozzle. To clean the front-facing camera, touch the app launcher, select the Camera app, and press the spray icon.
It’s in the camera app!!!
TL;DR - if you get this error try washing/cleaning the camera from the service menu and then clear calibration - instead of scheduling an appointment!!
