There are some weird, seemingly random outliers across the board. Someone that configured 2 weeks after me in TX got a VIN last week. I'm still sitting here high and dry.
If anyone cares there are 13 Cybertrucks in the San Antonio Airport Service Center. Some seem to have been there for weeks. One with a manufacture date of 2/22.
Really hope they deliver these as soon as the hold lifts.
I'll hit up my cybertruck delivery advisors today to see if they're willing to comment. Highly doubt anyone at Tesla will go on record until an official announcement is made.
I'm curious how wide spread the delivery delays are. I went by the San Antonio service center last week, there were roughly a dozen trucks in the lot. I'll check again this week to see if any have left the lot.
Wow... two mid-February configuration VINs in Cali... hope for Feb config VINs in TX soon!!
Send me that good juju!
Edit: one Cali, one Michigan... which is crazier.
Where my Texas VINs at? Happy to see the CTs spreading to all states... but living 50 miles away from Giga TX and approaching 60 days with no VIN. Stings a little. I see CTs driving around almost every day and others on carriers a few times a week.
Decided to swing by a local service center. Six cybertrucks total. Three didn't have VIN stickers.
One had a manufacture date of 2/22, must have something wrong with it, maybe?
Other two are pictured. Showing 147 difference between VINs and only manufactured one day apart. Guess we can...
Sorry, any aggravation or aggression was not directed towards you.
Super happy for you and your experience gives me hope that my early February configuration in Texas will get a vin assignment within the next 30 days.
Just sucks not knowing.
WTF!?!? First, congrats. Second, I'd love to know how Tesla decides who wins the VIN assignment lottery. Stock owner? Previous Tesla owner? Delivery State? Date reserved? Seriously what is the calculus behind VIN assignment???? just venting out loud.
