  1. Delivery day checklist

My experience with tesla is that they are not like car dealers, and they basically have a take it or leave it attitude. Everything is digital, and from corporate, so there won't be any scratching out - the local centers have zero authority for something like this. The 48h/100m (or whatever it...
  2. Delivery day checklist

It seems to be arbitrary based on your SC. Our last one (a M3 about 6 months ago) we were told 48 hours, 100 miles. My MYP in 2022 was the same. I have family members out of state that were at 72 hours & 100 miles. It may be different for CT, but it's not documented anywhere on teslas site (that...
  3. Let's talk about phantom drain

Yea, I think this is a part of the problem - it's aggressively trying to find a signal just running in a loop. If you're still seeing this when it is in the open, create a service request (also try a hard reboot first - this has helped me in the past on other, non-CT teslas).
  4. MOLLE panels - what gear have you mounted?

That's a nice looking setup! Probably just the angle in the photo, but those shovel spikes next to the glass are making me nervous for you!
  5. Powershare in TX installed yesterday

This is such a simple and kind gesture that goes so far with service guys. I've always done it because I saw my parents do it and just assumed it was normal. But by how excited I've seen them get sometimes, I don't think it is. My neighbor & I recently had fiber work done by the same company - I...
  6. North Carolina Cybertrucks?

Congrats on the VIN!! They seem to be picking up in NC - I've noticed 2 new CTs in my hood since Monday. I'm in Raleigh (no VIIN yet), and have had multiple calls / emails from "Yes Solar Solutions" based in Cary,NC. They claim to be the first (at one point they said only, so not sure which it...
  7. Deep Scratch on Hood at Delivery

That's really cool - thanks for sharing. I have some aerospace grade CF left over from a project last year. Maybe I'll get ambitious and try to do a similar layup and see how it looks CF would also look better than the wheel well plastic too. Hmm..
  8. Deep Scratch on Hood at Delivery

I already know the answer, but what a piece of workshop wall art the old hood would make if they let you keep it!
  9. Deep Scratch on Hood at Delivery

You're right, they've changed this in the app - I just created a new request. It used to make you select a location & time up front (and then after waiting 30+ days, they'd cancel the appointment the night before when they didn't have the part). I guess this is progress
  10. Deep Scratch on Hood at Delivery

Congrats on the truck, sorry to hear about the scratches. What do you mean by "have a service request"? If you did it in the app, you should have of received scheduled time slot. Make sure you take photos of the issues and create a request in the app ASAP so you can document all the delivery...
  11. Confirmed 8,000+ Cybertrucks produced so far (VINs seen in person on 4/21/24)

This!! That 4/20 manufacturer date will become a collectors item ;-)
  12. Confirmed 8,000+ Cybertrucks produced so far (VINs seen in person on 4/21/24)

The NHTSA report says it was 100% of the vehicles manufactured. The pedal assembly came from a 3rd party, so it's probably(?) not related to any changes in Tesla's line. https://static.nhtsa.gov/odi/rcl/2024/RCLRPT-24V276-7026.PDF
  13. Kid dropped iPad down tonneau cover slit.

3M double-sided tape attached on the camera stalk/wire. Send it down with a piece of strong string attached to the pull-off adhesive backing on the other side. Get it in place, pull the string to peel off the backing, and go to town. I'm 50/50 on whether this works, or makes things worse...
  14. Kid dropped iPad down tonneau cover slit.

They Lied. Look at the steps (and all the pre-req sub steps), and special jig required. I counted over a half day of shop time and I only looked at 1/3 of the sub steps. https://service.tesla.com/docs/Cybertruck/ServiceManual/en-us/GUID-4F5DC10F-2BA0-4DCE-9D2B-59FDDB54728B.html
  15. Kid dropped iPad down tonneau cover slit.

Section 1120 covers all of the Tonneau items (some sections are still in progress) https://service.tesla.com/docs/Cybertruck/ServiceManual/en-us/GUID-D284C287-577D-42B9-9D6D-6E33E689938D.html
  16. Kid dropped iPad down tonneau cover slit.

Check this out, but now that I see it again, it seems that the cover might need to be in the open position to access anything (this seems to be step 1 in the service manual for anything with the cover also)
  17. Kid dropped iPad down tonneau cover slit.

I used to laugh at friends and neighbors when their boys were doing things like this in between knocking the snot out of each other with sticks, while my daughter and her friends were sitting nicely having a tea party. Now that I have a 17 year old daughter, guess who is laughing?
  18. Kid dropped iPad down tonneau cover slit.

does opening the aero flap give you any additional access to see down there? I don't have mine yet to check, but from the Basecamp videos I've seen, it looks like it might.
  19. Get those friends referred ASAP!! Referral Program ends April 30, 2024

I saw this message in the app (while checking for a VIN of course), but missed the "ending" part and ignored it - so thanks for sharing here. Does this mean we have 10 days to use our existing points? Maybe that sledge hammer wouldn't have been such a waste of points after all!
