Hope this helps. On your sample image notice they did not use strain relief with locknut, which may not be to code, but likely not done on many installs, especially if dealing with brick, your call. In the absence of the strain relief and locknut you can always cut more plastic out of the base...

I’ve installed 7 wall connectors now for family members, all rear entry through sheetrock. Never tried to center it perfectly on wall as I always mounted on stud, wherever the stud landed. Always went 50 amp breaker to allow for romex style wire instead of 60 amp which complicates things...
