    2025.20.3 update installed

Holy crap, how could I have been so blind. I checked there like 15 times, lol. You'd think 30 years in IT would have given me some sort of skills, but I guess old age is catching up to me!

    2025.20.3 update installed

Sorry, I may have been unclear. I do not want the truck to change heights when I go into park at all, unless of course I manually change the height. After the last update, it is automatically dropping down to entry level height each time. When we first got the truck beginning of 2024, it had an...

    2025.20.3 update installed

Anyone know how to get the truck to stop automatically going into entry mode ride height upon putting in park now? We used to be able to disable that feature, but as of this update, the truck has started doing it again and no longer seems to offer the option to disable it. I learned with my...

50 miles of battery usage parked over weekend I’ve known I’ve had excessive drain for a long time now, but finally decided to pay attention over the w

It's not just the truck though. My 2018 Model 3 drops several percentage points per day with sentry mode and overheat protection on, even without a single sentry event being triggered. Turn off sentry mode and even with overheat protection enabled, the drain is extremely minimal. I once left the...

    2025.20.3 update installed

After receiving this update, I noticed that the rear view mirror now only shows up on the screen when the tonneau is closed. Have it open and you have to rely on the tiny physical rear view mirror. There's a toggle to change the behavior of how the digital rear view mirror behaves which may have...

    Animal Safari Cybertruck Trip

We went there too a little over a year ago. That place is awesome. I think we were their first Cybertruck to go through as everyone was still staring at the vehicle, wondering what the hell it was. Edit: Oh hey, this is my old thread for when we went there, haha. I'm smart.

    Range Extender Officially Cancelled!

Thanks for your patience. I think I am understanding. Cheers!

    Range Extender Officially Cancelled!

It's not a fake narrative. It's the same truth behind Tesla's last quarter being profitable. They both did so through selling credits, correct? And neither would have been profitable without that as a whole company? But I think I get what you are saying overall and agree with you. Rivian is...

    Range Extender Officially Cancelled!

Sorry, I should have quoted the two folks talking about it. It was started by this person claiming Rivian loses significant amounts of money on their vehicles, which I don't think is accurate anymore, though really only a recent thing. And time will tell if they can continue their growth.

    Range Extender Officially Cancelled!

I think Rivian is profitable now too, as of last quarter. So can't really use that claim anymore.

    Range Extender Officially Cancelled!

I'm one of those who bought my Model 3 in 2018 with the expectation, based on Elon's statements, that I would be able to enroll it into a driverless taxi system and generate revenue with it by end of 2019. So I'm used to disappointment. That being said, the vehicles Tesla makes really are some...

DI_a138 - Front motor disabled - Ok to drive

Our repairs are complete. Took about 7 days in total, mostly because of the usual service center issues (not having parts in stock and not having enough staff). Repairs were: - Confirmed front motor disabled alert. Issue was caused by front inverter failing its self-test multiple times...

DI_a138 - Front motor disabled - Ok to drive

I dropped my truck off at the service center yesterday. Even though the alert hasn't returned (granted, I've only used a supercharger once since the alert had gone away), they confirmed my front motor needed to be replaced. Fortunately, the service center had a Cybertruck as a loaner. They asked...

DI_a138 - Front motor disabled - Ok to drive

Close to that, yes. I documented it all here: https://www.cybertruckownersclub.com/forum/threads/waiting-on-cybertruck-repair-since-02-24-24-fixed-07-23-24.16618/ Worst part honestly was the service center throughout it all. And being one of the first owners, there wasn't a lot of data on what...

DI_a138 - Front motor disabled - Ok to drive

This happened to me as well. I was on a road trip last Friday, finished driving ~200 miles and was on the way to a supercharger before my last destination of the day. I remember thinking the whine of my front motor was much louder than I've ever heard it before. No alert at that point though. I...

    Slight Vibration over 60mph

Oof. You had the worst case scenario I guess. We are taking our truck back in shortly for all of the recalls that have accumulated. Inverter replacement, those metal strips (sails?) outside that need new double-sided tape or whatever that's about, windshield wiper motor replacement, wheel...

    Slight Vibration over 60mph

Sounds like a classic case of the foam inside the tire coming loose. Lots of us have had the issue now. Make an appointment and they will get you a new tire when they confirm.

Had my cybertruck for 4 days and this thing broke

Holy crap! Please tell me you went to the Jacksonville, FL service center because it sounds like we had the same group of technicians, lol.

Frozen snow / ice blocked my headlights last night

Okay, I laughed pretty hard at this one. You aren't kidding. That phone charger can warm up the entire cabin on its own.
