I too have noticed this happening, as recently as an hour ago. I was in sport and the ride height was medium. It has happened several times to me also. Even feels like it unlevels the vehicle at times.

Just got a VIN on April 8th configuration! Was tactical gray and decided it wasn’t right for a gloss white wrap job, so I switched. Had a VIN within the hour. YMMV!

That’s your opinion. To someone else, it has nothing to do with ego, it may be about the fun from the awesome acceleration. I will never understand why people always yuck someone else’s yum.

How did you manage to get your delivery center changed? I’ve tried to reach the right people but have had no success. The option that I thought was correct, I left a message for twice and never got a callback. Never talked to the first human.

I think your RN falling in the same delivery category as mine (1130) has more to do with the color change and its availability for builds. I’m guessing they just don’t plan to have materials and begin producing that option until later in the year.

The know what VIN you have, and when someone else registers it on their account, they'd obviously know it's no longer in your posession. Yeah, I'd say they can see that. This isn't going to be a money making thing for you...especially if they decide to make an example of you.

I changed, but it wasn’t a difficult decision in my case. My original estimate was “late 2024.” Color change gave a delivery estimate of Oct-Dec 2024, which I take to be the same estimate stated in a different way.

I sincerely hate to be the bearer of bad news, but you won’t be seeing a truck in 2024, and likely not 2025 either. No one knows how Tesla will fair in production, but you’re about as far in the back of the line as you could be.
