FSD on the truck is not bad, a few scares. One was serious enough requiring a hard braking on a bridge.
It is getting better, good for long drives and traffic. I wouldn't trust it in urban areas.
It does feel dishonest to be lied about the pre-order numbers which Elon referenced on earnings calls. The announced backorder convinced me that i would not lose 40k in value by the end of the first year of ownership. You expect depreciation but this is high by any standard.
We accepted and...
A few drives in urban settings. Ran a few red lights , didnāt see a car backing out, doesnāt stop for pedestrians walking in non-intersection cross walks (mid block) went straight in a turn only. Tried auto park, couldnāt read the curb right, went in and out of the spot about 10 times before I...
I'd rather them use their technology and cameras to figure out when they should open doors and drop windows. if they're good enough to drive through the city they should be good enough to read the crash scene.
Sentry mode sucks power and sucks in general. I came back to my truck after a movie and it'll read 5 events but only showed one clip. I had some people vandalize my truck and it didn't record anything with Sentry mode on confirmed.
Tesla service couldn't figure out why its not showing the...
I'm in NYC often. The steering is helpful with parallel parking, tight narrow street turns and making your way through traffic especially near the bridges and tunnels.
The lack of sensors is a problem, the current screen view does not provide the distance from the truck to objects. A 360 arial...
I read it, I like it. @NYTBernstein
For me, my cybertruck is a metal sculpture. It is a display of creative design and innovation showcasing the ingenuity of the team at TESLA.
i've gotten the finger from big trucks mostly and recently for the first time a subaru.
i did get a couple of middle fingers years back when i first bought the S while driving in Pennsylvania, but nowhere nearly as often as now. i also have seen big trucks blocking chargers over the years...
i have the same vibration at the same speeds. on my last round trip i punched it to pass a truck and the vibrations increased significantly and made a fairly loud noise.
i have an appointment july 30th. I will let you all know what comes of it.

the "cruise control" is bad.
what i've experienced on two road trips in the past 3 weeks.
- brakes when someone in front of me exits the highway
- brakes on lighted caution signs
- brakes with oncoming traffic on a two lane road
- jerky speed adjustments
- didn't handle construction zone very...
thanks for the response, with your info i checked the app 'camera' on with the screen and they're linked.
My experience has been mixed with Sentry, at times it shows someone walking up and around, other times it shows nothing for 10 minutes.
