I agree on all points. One data point, my dad is looking to replace his RAM rebel (shopping both EV trucks and another rebel). He said a pretty loaded rebel is over $70k msrp but he said he got a quote for around 65k with all the discounts available now.
Unless I am misunderstanding what you are referring to, the EV tax credit income eligibility is based on your MAGI and needs to be less than $150k for single filers and less than $300k for married filers.
what are your monthly payments after your $10,000 down? When I put $10,000 down in the Tesla calculater does that mean the fed rebate takes care of $7500 and I pay $2500? Or does it mean I pay $10,000 and the $7500 is added on top?
Its based on AGI, not gross salary. For example, a household can have gross income over $400k but an AGI below $300k. Also, don't forget that a lot of people are retired or semi-retired with large savings and a low AGI.
I was just recently pondering the same question. I really like the look of the white (in photos at least) but was thinking it would stick out way more than black. Typically I don't like black cars, but the Satin and Matte black photos of the CT look great, and I feel black would help it blend in...
