I tried the "set a service appointment for light bar install" technique and sure as heck it worked for me! Just make sure your service appointment is at least a month in advance to give them time to order and ship it. My SC said mine was only the 2nd one they've installed so far.

You must be talking about vinyl. You can't even buy the material for $1000 if you're talking about PPF. Any installer willing to wrap your truck for $1000 including material is either a hack or completely desperate. A quality PPF wrap with a great warranty and customer service will run $5.5k...

I think that the tax credit being unconfirmed for personal buyers of the AWD is holding things up. If you're in the market for an $80k truck, I don't think not getting the tax credit is going to dissuade many from buying - however, I'd certainly wait to at least know if I am getting it or not...

Tesla recommends CitriSurf 77 and I can confirm it works well and is not nearly as abrasive as BKF.
