Okay, I'm wrong about that if he has a CT.
Empathy for someone who couldn't control their impulses? It's much better for them to lose the deposit. Maybe they won't repeat the behavior again and fell less entitled to be able to break agreements.
Of course he regrets his decision to order. Why else would someone start a petition over something he's literally lying about. You can't reserve a non-FS Cybertruck right now. This makes zero sense. Whoever placed an actual order chose to order an FS series Cybertruck. Tesla isn't forcing...
I read the thread, but I misunderstood part of the thread involving cancellations. However, now that I'm understanding the part you pointed out, that makes this thread even more ridiculous, and the poster clearly has major regrets about his decision for some reason.
Not sure why Tesla would refund the deposit on the order itself. It isn't a reservation - it is an order. No car dealership would refund a deposit on a vehicle they ordered for you.
Also, not sure why Tesla is cancelling orders on FS Cybertrucks. They are still allowing people to create new...
You are in the same boat as a lot of us. I was very surprised to get mine and I made my reservation around the same time you did. This has to mean that Tesla is struggling to get people to buy off on the Foundation Series Cybertruck and the added $20K.
The Cybertruck is a victim of bad timing...
That depends on what happens between now and when the battery extension is available. If too much time passes in between and newer battery technology yields more distance in the same form factor then it won't be worth the loss of bed space.
If you have any grandchildren, you can always tell Tesla you want the Cyberquad for kids if you're allowed to use your credit it on that. That would make you a rockstar to those kids.
Those are all excellent points and that was a nice summary.
I do think there is an element of Tesla trying to force improvements on TeslaVision by removing sensors. This way the engineers focus 100% of the time using TeslaVision and can't fall back onto ultrasonic sensors which are a cheap...
I guess that would help those of us who are used to that beeping, but I think there is more than enough cameras to compensate. I have no idea since I haven't driven one yet.
Congratulations on your new Cybertruck. I imagine you will get tons of attention. You would if you were driving around here. I have not seen one yet around our area, but I imagine someone has bought one here and I just haven't seen it.
Range is highly-dependent on so many factors and that applies to both EVs and ICEs. Obviously towing a 30-ft boat is going to yield less mileage on both platforms than a couple of Jet Skis.
I believe that I represent a large number of people who are getting the Cybertruck. It is incredibly...
That stinks man. These are the woes of being the early adopters. I would think insurance would cover it. In my state, windshield replacements have no deductibles, but not sure about FL. I would first try Tesla though because this is a manufacturer's defect. Good luck!
Same here - and in the same order number range as you. If they offered it to me right now and I only had the option of buying the highest model I would more than likely have to pass up on it. Not ready to buy a $120K car.
That really doesn't make a whole lot of sense. Why would you order the Cybertruck for your business when you had no idea when you would actually get them? Why cancel it now? You weren't chosen to configure and order one, so what is the rush?
Tesla's truck is amazing, and they have the best FSD...
Yeah, I saw that. That's not going to change people's minds buying the vehicle. I fell in love with this truck the minute I saw it. Some of the complaints about this truck are ludicrous.
