Some questions. Does the CT have all season or winter tires on? Is braking distance really that bad in winter conditions?
Was the CT driveable after the collision? Or does it automatically get disabled after airbags go off? Or is there a limp mode?
Looks completely driveable...
Can someone please explain quickly the pros/cons of generator outlet vs powershare? And why would the equivalent of a Cybertruck in Powerwalls be way more expensive? Sounds like you're just better off buying a used Tesla than actual Powerwalls with a generator outlet. Thanks.
Edit:
Just...
So basically to sum it up, aluminum of the CT cracks and breaks while steel in the F150 will bend. Aluminum is light and strong, but breaks. Steel is strong and bends, but is heavy.
Each has a tradeoff. But I think that the part that snapped off should have some steel reinforcement...
I live in NYC, and the CT is just too big for street parking. An SUV sized like the Highlander is much easier to get into tight spots. Also, I carry alot of surfboards and having an enclosed air conditioned space helps stuff dry, wax from melting, etc. Also I can carry longer surfboards that...
Thanks for explanation. Do you think it would be easy to modify the Cybertruck to do the same? Is the hardware already there and is it just a matter of software upgrade?
How is hooking an uncharged Tesla to a charged 400V Cybertruck any different than connecting to a 480V Supercharger? (Assuming that the car itself is controlling the charge rate as indicated by the onscreen charge/amp limiter.)
Supercharger Amp/Voltage
I was under the impression that all lines just supply DC and the cars themselves regulate the current that the batteries take in. For example you can adjust the amperage/charge rate on screen during supercharging. Are you saying that the supercharger is regulating this process?
Should be...
Right. my question is whether it’s possible to directly plug from charging port to charging port and get Level 3 supercharger speeds from the Cybertruck to a stranded Tesla. If not, what would it take?
if the CT allows bidirectional charging and can receive supercharging, why not in reverse?
Just saw this post and have some questions:
Cybertruck helps charge a Model Y
I think it's great that a Cybertruck can serve as a mobile charger to rescue vehicles with a dead battery.
Will the Powershare/bidirectional charging ability of a Cybertruck allow a simple cable from charging port...
That's great! How long did they charge for and how many miles did they get?
Would be great if you could directly charge from charging port to charging port to avoid the DC-AC-DC conversion. Wonder what you would need to do for that.
Also, good to know you could tow and charge them too...
