  1. Road wind noise improved with easy fix: lower rear windows slightly!

It’s a property of laminated glass that it deflects like that in cold temperatures. A small drop of the window will often seal it up nicely.
  2. Wind, Bearing, or Coolant Noise?

For what it’s worth, I’ve had this noise on cool days since I got the truck more than a year ago and haven’t been able to isolate it. I have had my front drive unit replaced (for a different reason) and it did not affect this noise.
  3. Charging reduced to 24 A.

I think that owner had other work done as well. I paid $1,800 for the PCS and $900 in labor to have it replaced.
  4. Charging on Level2 limited to 24A after recent update

@sammy5001, glad you had a good resolution on the truck. The service department experience sounds trying. Hopefully they improve that loaner system to account for someone traveling to pick up the loaner! The $7,200 cost cited seems excessive. I'm guessing that it included other work. For...
  5. Charging on Level2 limited to 24A after recent update

In my case, the service center had one in stock because this is a common failure. They put me to the front of the line since they knew that I had a long trip out of town coming up. A bigger failure would strand me two states away. They had it fixed by the end of the following day. Kudos to the...
  6. Charging on Level2 limited to 24A after recent update

I had the same problem and fixing it required replacement of the truck’s PCS (power conversion system). Hopefully you are still within the 50K warranty because it is not considered part of the battery. I was not.😢
  7. How to prevent PowerShare charging other EVs during outage?

I haven't figured out how it's doing this, but when my power goes out and the CT starts back-feeding through the gateway, my second Tesla, on a separate EVSE, that is not load-sharing with the CT's, immediately stops charging with a message about lost communication. Again, I don't know how, but...
  8. Gateway work with 2 universal wall connector chargers?

I know that code is different, and can be interpreted differently, between jurisdictions, so go with your installer's advice. My setup was like yours. I had to make two changes. First, I had to replace my disconnect with a small subpanel so that the EVPE can be disconnected from all loads...
  9. Gateway work with 2 universal wall connector chargers?

Let me know if you get this to work. In my case, when the 2 UWCs were placed in a load sharing group together (and the Leader was the one wired to the Gateway, as you describe), the Leader UWC would not communicate reliably with the gateway. In Tesla One, it showed up occasionally for a few...
  10. Gateway work with 2 universal wall connector chargers?

I was referring to connecting the communication cable in series (G3V->UWC->UWC). Sorry for the confusion.
  11. Gateway work with 2 universal wall connector chargers?

I think that the pre-made control cable that ships with the gateway is at least 150ft.
  12. Gateway work with 2 universal wall connector chargers?

Unfortunately, no. The gateway communicates with one UWC over a 4-wire communication cable (like the one that gen 2 HPWCs used to load share) but inter-UWC communication is now done over WiFi and they can't be connected to the gateway in series. Additionally, in my testing I couldn't have two...
  13. Gateway 3V No WiFi Broadcasted

Awesome! Those screenshots look great! I assumed the same thing because of the "1 Form Remaining" message in the Tesla One app, but no one has mentioned this requirement. I chose to move four circuits over to the four 240V breaker spots in the Gateway (two sub-panels, one AC and an...
  14. Gateway 3V No WiFi Broadcasted

It's a multi-step process. I may have some of this wrong, but from my experience so far, you need to: 1. Set up the Gateway and UWC together in one installation using the Tesla One app and confirm that with the CT plugged in and charging, you see (in the Tesla One app) icons with connecting...
  15. Gateway 3V No WiFi Broadcasted

Sounds good. Maybe they didn't connect the wires at the wall connector yet or crossed one up. Good luck!
  16. Gateway 3V No WiFi Broadcasted

Your Universal Wall Connector must be at v24.12 to provide power to the control board in your gateway. I'm guessing that you don't have any LED lights on the circuit board in your gateway. Go upgrade the wall connector using Tesla One and then come back to the Gateway and see if it lights up...
