My Foundation Beast is always in beast mode. When I preordered my wife asked if I really needed the Beast. I told her nobody “needs” it but for me it’s Beast or bust baby!!
My CT has more wind noise than my previous truck [Expedition]. I was told if it’s not whistling or anything egregious that’s it’s in spec but it’s one of the few disappointments on my beast.
For those asking my door is still solid after the repair. When I spoke to the service manager at the Tampa SC in February when my door was fixed he said they had just developed a fix they’d use on my door & that they’re an advanced SC, only 1 of 4 qualified to work on the Roadster blah blah...
I live almost an hour from my SC but the best way for any issues that require a real discussion is to go down there. Otherwise I’ll use the app chat & usually they’ll call me if I pester them enough. Going down to the SC & using social skills is the best way unfortunately.
I knew I was paying to be an early adopter & there’s no contractual obligation on the part of Tesla in terms of depreciation as long as you don’t have a lemon. When I price out a new CT now with all of the options my foundation beast had upon delivery I don’t see the crazy price difference...
I plan on using Tesla SC. I’m at 4.5k miles on my Beast; if the stars align I’ll have it done with my Light Bar install which I’m still waiting on.
The Tampa SC took a look at my door today & said they came up with a fix very recently in their shop involving adding insulation inside the door between the door & panels. This was completed without damaging the door so no need to re-wrap. I’ll pick it up later today & time will tell how...
Any issues with always driving in Beast mode? I’ve heard the hard acceleration puts more wear on the tires but I’d assume it’s not a huge deal if I’m not heavy with the foot.
My driver side door also does this & rattles at high speed (over 70mph).
It’s a known issue according to Tesla & I’m having it replaced next week after months of waiting & showing up to the last appointment in December to find out they didn’t have a new door yet. What really sucks is the $800...
I found that the wind noise was higher than expected on the highway & was told by the SC that it’s normal unless I hear some type of whistling in which case there could be a leak but I do not. There was definitely a contrast from my Expedition which I traded in upon delivery & noted was a lot...
I wrapped my truck when I got it in September, what does suck is that Tesla needs to replace my driver side door due to rattling & I was quoted $795 to wrap/tint the door afterwards & if your wrap is not available it can become an issue down the road. I almost wish I wrapped it myself & kept...
My driver side door rattles at high speed & is being replaced by Tesla. SC mentioned mine is only the 3rd truck with this specific issue & gave them an opportunity to make a video for training purposes for this specific issue.
