Goodyear tire versus Pirelli Scorpion ATR

My CB came with the Pirellis via a mistake in the sales dept. When I finally got them to replace them (took a year) the Pirellis lasted about 9k miles on the front and were past the wear bars. Normal driving mostly city streets with an occasional 700 mile freeway round trip. They were a bit...

Active Road Noise Reduction (Active Noise Cancellation (ANC)) Now Available on Cybertruck!

I was on the freeway this morning and my kids said that there is a difference in the back seat. I could not tell from my perspective. it would be nice to have the ability to balance the ANR like on the fader.

NeuroHUD - Heads up display HUD & Home link??!! This seems tailor made for CT!

That's the problem with this implementation. Instead of tapping into the main CPU module, it relies on optical scanning of your screen. That means it is reliant on the cleanliness of the screen, the type of screen protector that you are using and the ambient light/reflections - oh, and...

Active Road Noise Reduction (Active Noise Cancellation (ANC)) Now Available on Cybertruck!

I haven't received any calibration pop ups. I've tried turning ANR off and then on again, but still no calibration pop up. I really cannot tell if it is working. I need to get on the freeway longer. When does the calibration request pop up?

Active Road Noise Reduction (Active Noise Cancellation (ANC)) Now Available on Cybertruck!

FS Beast 34xxx received ANC yesterday. Haven't tested it yet. I wonder what their ideal test case would be.

    USB-C to USB-C doesn't charge phone

Do you have anything connected to the two rear USB-C ports? They run on a shared bus and the more connections, the less allocated to each port.

    40,000 mi 8 tires

I had the Pirellis and the fronts hit the wear bars at 8k miles and I mostly drove locally and not aggressive.

    Tire inflator test

Agree. There were two ex-mechanics there (me and my friend - and we both had plug kits). The knot is a good idea - I totally forgot about that trick that the old timers used to teach. I can change a tire faster than that little compressor took to inflate the tire and slow rolling to get the...

    Tire inflator test

After getting a flat and trying to use Slime and a Slime 12V compressor on a 120V AC - 12V DC converter, I learned that those little guys won't cut it. The Pirelli tire had a cut in the tread, so I couldn't plug it. I picked up a hot dog compressor from Harbor Freight along with a hose, air...

    Rearview flare camera

My rear cam flares worse than that. I've cleaned it and had service look at it and they can't replicate it even though I have pics because the techs don't work at night. It's frustrating unfortunately when there is a huge amount of traffic behind me, the entire rear display loses all detail...

Recall bulletin SB-25-90-001 Off Road Lightbar fix - new version with bracket

Wow! How long ago was it installed? I was one of the first to get one installed in the Bay Area, but it is definitely not as hot in CA as AZ.

Recall bulletin SB-25-90-001 Off Road Lightbar fix - new version with bracket

That looks so Mickey Mouse'd, it's embarrassing. So, you stick on two brackets that are flat black which overlap the ends of a gloss black lightbar. That really makes aesthetic sense. Just like that huge dimple on the replacement cant rails that sticks out like a sore thumb after you wrap them...

FSD v14.1.7 rolling out to all Cybertruck owners! Update yours yet??

I'm getting more parking distance impaired messages with the update. Then it started to rain and I was getting those messages as it was driving. When it pulled into my driveway, it picked the middle of the driveway. Why? I definitely do not like losing the ability to use the scroll wheel to...

CT Mods Magnetic Foldable Fast Charging Car Mount

I used an OBD II power tap. I've been meaning to make a vid on this, but things have been busy. It's an easier route to the OBD connector and the charge rate is lower, but it works well. I had to 3D print some hold-downs, because I couldn't tear the dash down enough to route the USB-C cable...

    (Metal?) Bang or Clang Noise

It may be the pressure relief valve on the air compressor. I get it sometimes when I am at a stoplight. I asked service to look at mine because it would sometimes release late with a large amount of pressure and it would result in a loud bang.

Yet another windshield tint issues post

I held off on tinting the front windshield because it has so much surface area. All the other windows have been tinted. My main concern was nighttime vision clarity. Does the tint cause visual distortions at night or aberrations when headlights hit the windshield at any angle? No tint film...

Cleaning the INTERIOR of the CT windshield

Swiffer with Sprayway cleaner. I tried the Costco microfiber cloths but they kept leaving little yellow lint in the hardest places to get to. I also had the strangest problem with microfiber cloths with any pile on them because the surface of the window kept grabbing the cloth and flipping the...

    CT running boards - meh!

That's BS. They were installed on Jan 26, 2025. That's not long term.

    CT running boards - meh!

They are tack welded in four places, so not a tight fit. They may hold some water if the truck is just sitting.
