I'm only building a standoff bracket for the rear camera! It does work great on there though... The side cameras still get blocked constantly and Tesla should've built the washers in on all cameras IMO.
It works fine in automatic car washes! You might have to readjust the sprayer if it gets knocked out of alignment but that’s it.
At highway speed it won’t work well. Too much slipstream on the spray.
Thanks!
You need it extremely stable like the existing nozzle. If you extend it you'd have to tack it down somewhere. i have thought of flexi CNC coolant style nozzles but they'll lose their aim!
For transit vans I might make an adaptor that clips onto the end of my nozzle and feeds upwards because...
The standoff adaptor will be the largest of all of them on the CT most likely. It's basically a plastic rectangle with passthroughs for longer screws from my backplate. It's not really visible straight on but you can def see it looking down at this angle...
1) The indications on the remote will be fluid EMPTY (it can tell when the motor spins up) and battery low.
2) The battery really lasts 6+ months in the cold (it's extremely oversized to account for 50% capacity loss which us truck owners know about). The fluid reservoir will be around 4...
Exactly. The edge of the plate is just near the edge of the bumper.
If you pre-order on Kickstarter we'll supply the standoff. Before we ship we're going to check what car everyone is using it on...
I can take some later today. I pulled the prototype off because we have a launch party today!
It takes away most of the “step” with the standoff because it needs to shoot backwards to hit the camera. It’s worth the trade IMO though.
I built this and it'll work on the Cybertruck! I actually developed it on my Model Y and Cybertruck. For the truck it just needs a simple standoff plate that we're making for all pickups and some other cars that need it too. The pump has a crazy amount of power. Check it out working on a...
Looking like a Wednesday delivery. I'm sure right after I pickup the 2025s will start appearing with rear camera washer, digital rear view, and dry cathode batteries :ROFLMAO:.
