Update: took my truck in. Couldn’t reproduce the noise because of course it’s warmer here now. But the service tech heard my recording and he knows exactly what I’m talking about. Said if he can reproduce it, most likely will be a front drive unit change. He said he’s had a few come in with same...
Has anyone else noticed slight dent/unevenness in certain parts of the steel exterior?
I’ve attached a few pictures. Very visible at different angles.
Stopped by service center today and tech said it can be tricky to fix. May need to replace the entire steel panel. Has anyone dealt with this?
So I added this to a list of other issues at an upcoming service center visit. Everything else on the quote was $0. For this issue they want to charge $205… just had the truck for a month
Doing the same here. Dropping off mine next week. Same noise. Kind of concerning to hear some techs say it’s normal and others say it’s an internal motor issue. I would say there’s a pretty big difference between the two. Did you have to do any convincing or push back to have them treat this...
Just bumping up this thread. Any updates from anyone? I have the exact same noise. Seems like the consensus is it’s a front drive unit issue and once it’s replaced, problem is solved? The whole process seems to take weeks right?
we’re looking to have a charger and potentially PowerShare installed in the northern Virginia area. Does anyone know of a reputable electrician that offers fair pricing in the area?
I’ve got delivery scheduled for next weekend!
Thus far, I’m planning on putting down 50k and financing the rest. I’ve read in the forums that for payments above 50k, I would need to wire it? I was thinking maybe doing 49k then and bringing a check instead. Does it have to be a bank certified...
Tesla has increased the referrer bonus to $1k but only if the buyer is a “first time Tesla owner.”
Let’s say I referred to myself but used another email address, would that qualify for the referrer bonus? Or do I have to do something like refer to my wife and register the car under her name?
I’ve received my vin and still waiting patiently for a delivery date. Now that Tesla lets you buy out your lease at the end of your lease, I wonder what are people thinking would be the better option? And why?
I’m planning on putting down a large down payment to minimize the monthly payments...
Wow. I wonder if this can be retroactively applied if you haven’t taken delivery yet.
For anyone still interested, here’s my referral link:

Wow this thread has really gotten spicy. I can see why we don’t talk about finances at thanksgiving. Let’s chat about something less personal… maybe politics or religion?
Random question: when does the $500 referrer credit show up? Is it once the buyer actually picks up their car?
Another is, at least on the app, if the referrer doesn’t have the cybertruck but wants to use the credit to buy some cybertruck accessories, it just says this product does not match...
