Can this approach be used to get CT to definitively park in my driveway? So far, it's only done so once or twice. Sometimes parks in neighbors' driveway a few times.usually pulls up in front of my home.
I'm seriously considering, but I need to understand the actual technical implementation. How is the wiring done, and what is the detection mechanism to know when the doors are opening or closing?
Here to report the drive unit replacement does NOT resolve the issue. Add this to the knowledge base. The problem DOES have the attention of the regional FTS who is continuing to work the issue. Lot's of good engineering has gone into isolating. They will be in touch with me soon on next steps.
Great info. I'll share with the Tesla team I'm in conversation with. Yes, this is most definitely a problem insofar as this noise is loud enough and distracting enough (and detracts from the EV experience). My CT is now in the shop, getting the front drive replaced. Also note that they ran...
np. Yes - you can leave the screen open while you drive. You just need to override the speed limiter (easy) and turn heat back on (also easy). Thinking is: in cold temps, it will always be sufficiently low that the noise will/may occur. if you "Precondition" - ie plan a trip to a supercharger...
Been into service twice and working very closely with a senior tech on this problem. They believe it correlates to front drive inverter at low temps. It's a tricky working theory.
I'm having my front motor replaced next week to see if it resolves. Try this: put your CT into preconditioning for...
I simply cannot find quality tire storage bags for these big-azz tires/wheels. The bag that comes with the spare tire option would be perfect. Does anyone know if/where this bag is offered for sale so I can pick up four of them?
